Applications are invited for the position of Senior /Junior Research Fellow (SRF/JRF) to work in the CSIR sponsored Major Collaborative Research Project between Dept. of Biochemistry, Karnatak University, Dharwad and National Centre for Cell Science, Pune, (CSIR sanction letter No. 27(0279/12/EMR-II dated 05.11.2012).

Title of the project: Exploring the potential of RBL, a cytotoxic lectin from Rhizoctonia bataticola for ovarian cancer research: molecular signaling involved in RBL mediated cytotoxicity in ovarian cancer cells by in vitro and in vivo studies.

Position : SRF/ JRF;
Duration : 24 months or as and when project terminates.

Qualification :
SRF: M.Sc., Biochemistry with a Minimum of 55% and two years of research training in protein purification and characterization, and candidates with experience in cell biology techniques preferred.(In case suitable SRF is not found, the position for JRF will be considered)
JRF: M.Sc., Biochemistry with a Minimum of 55% and only candidates with NET-JRF/GATE qualification should apply.

Fellowship amount:
SRF: Rs. 14,000/- or 18,000/- per month with HRA. (As per the CSIR guidelines)
JRF: Rs. 12,000/- or 16,000/- per month with HRA.
