Original Account number : 1234

Equivalent 9-digit account : 000001234

Example :

Account Nickname :
Logon to customer website and verify the account nickname for your list of accounts

How to apply for SMS Banking- :
It is a very easy process. Visit our from your desktop browser. This will open the customer module where you can click on the “How to Register- ” and download the form, fill the details and just walk in to your nearest branch or apply for the Mobile Banking service by duly filling the Mobile Banking application form in the branch.

What is SMS Banking? :
SMS Banking is one the IOB retail banking channels, which allows customers to do banking activities from their mobile phone using SMS Technology. IOB’s mobile banking keeps its valued customers updated with their bank account details and enables them to request for their account information and make request to Stop Cheque or cheque the status of cheque presented.

Are all IOB customers eligible to apply for this service? :
Yes. The service is available to all IOB customers with local or foreign currency accounts (Current, Saving accounts, Loan, Term Deposit or Credit Card).

  1. In my account 2000 was withdrawal and the particulars of withdrawal in the book is P1EWVIO2MEDICAL. What is the meaning and the details for the withdrawal?

  2. Can you get me the credentials of the user name and password through individual login without going to the Indian overseas bank as already filled the application through online? If so that you will be really appreciated. Please note that the sms way to check the balance is really disgusting service provided compared with other banks. Hope so you will come with the quick response

    Please note that I want to check my balance through online and through sms and the guideliness is followed but I dont want to go to bank take approval from the bank authority. The option of the Sms is also not good .So pathetic Service when compared with other banks.

  3. IOB accounts are 15 digits not 9 digits. If using above process how will the IOB server know to which branch this account balance request is made if only 9 digits provided?

    I need to check my balance and then I transferred from Internet banking. It can’t credit. Why?

  6. I had used my Axis Bank Credit Card to withdraw money from ATM Of BANK OF INDIA. But no money had been drawn due to shutter is not open on the machine. But I get sms of balance deduction of same amount.
    My Question is whom I have to contact my Axis bank ( my credit card is of Axis Bank) or Bank of India from which ATM I try to withdraw. Please tell ASAP as I was very upset my a/c debited while I did not get my cash.

  7. I had used ATM IndusInd Bank Paschim Vihar G Block for withdrawal money twice a time at 2135 and 2148 hrs ATM ID SN000592 TXN No.3137 & 3138 Response Code Contact Bank. But no money has been drawn due to shutter is not open on the machine. The same with other customers also. I need information and do some necessary action. My account at CGO Complex Opp Parivaran Bhawan, Lodhi Road New Delhi-110003 (No.01000034756).

      Format :
      BAL to +919551099007

      = SB+ (should be 9 digit’s)

      = CD+ (should be 9 digit’s) etc..
