Essay Competition 2014 :
Register for ESSAY COMPETITION – A Prelude to CONVEGNO 2014 to be held on February 22, 2014

General Information and Rules :
** The Competition is being organized on Saturday – February 22, 2014.

A Participant may write an essay on any one of the following topics:
1. Role of Media in Business, Government and Society
2. Are Indian Universities Learning Centers or Profit Centers?
3. Cyber Terrorism and Society
4. Alternative Sources of Energy
5. Indian Economy: Prospects and Challenges
6. Healthcare Initiatives: Role of Institutions
7. Cloud Computing – A Tool for Competitive Advantage

** The competition is open for all the undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in a college or a university.
** Registration Fee is Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty).
** Word limit is 700.

** 1 hour will be given to write an essay. It will start at 12 noon.
** The medium of writing essay is English only.

** Every student participant is required to write the essay at the given venue i.e. I2IM Building, CHARUSAT Campus, Changa, Ta. Petlad, Dist. Anand 388 421, during the stipulated time, and on the given date.

** Pen and Paper required to write the essay will be provided by the organizer.

** All participants are requested to come half an hour earlier to see their seating arrangement and to avoid last minute rush.

** Every participant will be felicitated with a Certificate of Participation.

** Evaluation will be based on the following criteria: Comprehension, Organization, Creativity. Language, Writing Style, Voice, and Approach.

** Best Essay will be awarded with Rs. 5000/- as Cash Prize + Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
** Second Best Essay will be awarded with Rs. 2000/- as Cash Prize + Certificate of Merit.
** Third Best Essay will be awarded with Rs. 1000/- as Cash Prize + Certificate of Merit.

** Last Date of Registration is February 20, 2014.
