ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR M.Phil / Ph.D. PROGRAMMES
Applications are invited from intending eligible candidates for admission to M.Phil / Ph.D. programmes for the academic year 2013-14.

Eligibility Criteria :
Law: L.L.M from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Interdisciplinary: Post graduation or equivalent qualification in the area of proposed Research with minimum 55% mark or equivalent grade.
Note: Degrees obtained in Distance mode/Correspondence mode or from an Open University will not be considered.

Application Fee : Processing cum application fee of Rs. 3,000/- in the form of bank draft drawn in favour of “Registrar, National Law University Odisha” and payable at Cuttack.

Admission Test :
a) There shall be a written test which will consist of two papers
i) Paper I – Research Methodology
ii) Paper II – Research Proposal specific paper
b) Each paper shall carry maximum of 100 marks and the candidate securing not less than 50% marks in each paper will qualify for making an oral presentation before the expert panel.

B. Applicants are required to submit the following;
1. Completed application form
2. A proposal of not more than 5000 words, containing :
a. Title of the proposed research
b. Statement of the problem, along with the background information on the subject
c. The scope, objectives and limitations of the proposed research
d. A set of research questions or hypothesis
e. A broad description of methodologies intended to be followed
f. A tentative research design containing chapterization
3. Attested photocopies of eligibility qualification certificates and mark sheets;
4. One set of published papers, monographs, articles and books (if applicable);
5. Certificate from the Institution concerned testifying the length of service (if required) ;
6. A passport size photograph.

C. The completed application form along with the enclosures listed above are to be sent via registered post/courier or delivered by hand at the following address;
