STATE LEVEL ENTRANCE TEST FOR ADMISSION TO MBA/MHA/AICTE APPROVED PG DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES JEMAT 2014 CONDUCTED BY WBUT

JEMAT 2014 :
Rapid development in global business and its impact on India’s domestic market call for a professional approach and sensitivity to business environment at both national and international levels. MBA/MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programmes help to develop a pool of human resource to cater for trained personnel in the field of business management in general and satisfy both the national and international demand. The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state level eligibility of the Govt. of W.B. conducted by the WBUT. Test held every year for admission to the MBA /MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programmes offered by the Management Institutions of the State (both government and private). This test is conducted by West Bengal University of Technology on behalf of the State Government as per the guidelines framed by AICTE, in pursuance of the Supreme Court judgments on August 14, 2003 and October 31, 2002 and in terms of the policy framework laid down by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, vide no f-17-18/2002- T.S.I. dt. October 10, 2003. Colleges/Institutes can admit students from one national level test (CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT) and the state level test (JEMAT) OR only from one national level test OR only from state level test. This is as per the Ministry of HRD guidelines.

ELIGIBILITY :
The minimum qualification for admission to MBA/MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programmes is a Bachelors degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/Medical/Dental/Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized universities. The candidates who will appear in final examination (Graduation) to be held in 2014 may apply.

HOW TO APPLY
The application form is to be filled online after making a demand draft the details of which are to be entered in the form. Written examination fees are Rs. 600 for general category and Rs. 300 for SC/ST/OBC. The fees are to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of WBUT-JEMAT payable at Kolkata. The online application and uploading scanned self-signed photo can be made from the website www.applyfortest.com. After submitting the Application form the same has to be printed and is to be sent to the University office. Self Attested copies of marksheets, certificates and other testimonials as well as SC/ST/OBC certificates and the Demand Draft should be submitted with a signed copy of Application Form. The name of the applicant , the application form number and the contact number of the applicant should be written on the back of the demand draft.

Please upload a scanned copy of self-signed photo in the place provided on the online form before submitting the form or taking a print out of the application. A sample copy of a scanned self-signed photo should look like the one below:

TEST STRUCTURE AND ADMINISTRATION :
The JEMAT written test will be an objective type examination of two hours duration consisting of three sections viz, English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning. The candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be called for Group Discussion / Personal Interview (GD/PI) to be conducted by WBUT. Finally, centralized counseling is conducted at the WBUT premises wherein students are allotted colleges / universities depending on their rank in the merit list (prepared on the basis of Written Test and GD/PI).
