Employment Exchange :
Employment Exchange is a government office that provides employment assistance to job seekers. Candidates registered with an Employment Exchange are sponsored to employers for recruitment to vacancies notified or advertised. Employed persons looking for more suitable jobs can also register with the Employment Exchanges to avail better job opportunities.

Who can Register?
Unemployed youth may register for employment assistance with the Employment Exchange located within the area where they normally reside.

Online Registration :
Online Registration is the facility which allows a Candidate to register through the internet and from the comfort of their home, office, kiosks etc. after which the candidate may visit the local Employment Exchange for verification of original documents.

Online registration also allows job seekers to search for suitable jobs and to update their qualification and other details online.

A candidate may register with an Employment Exchange in person or online. Online Registrants will be issued a temporary Registration Number on completion of Online Registration Process and may visit the Local Employment Exchange within 30 days for verification of original documents/certificates after which a Permanent Registration Number will be issued.

** To Make a Web Registration permanent

After you have completed the web registration you may visit the Employment Exchange personally along with the Original Documents OR send Attested Copies of the following Supporting Documents along with your Temporary Web Registration Number
1. Educational Certificates and Mark Sheets
2. Tribe/Caste Certificate
3. Age Proof
4. Recent Photo of size 3 X 2 inches
5. Experience Certificates (if any)
6. Training Certificates (if any)
7. Disability Certificate (if any)
8. BPL Card (if applicable)
9. Other Relevant Documents in support of your Application

Guidelines for Registration with the Meghalaya Employment Exchanges :
A citizen of India who has attained the age of 14 years is eligible to Register for employment assistance with the Employment Exchange which falls within the area where He/She normally reside.
A candidate who wishes to Register for employment assistance may visit dectmeg.nic.in for Online Registration, or they may visit the local Employment Exchange office in person.
Once a candidate has completed the online Registration he / she will be issued with a Temporary Registration number which is automatically generated by the system.
The Candidate is then given 30days time within which he/she is required to visit the Local Employment Exchange for verification of his / her certificates/ documents (in Original) for issue the Employment Exchange I.D. Card X-10.
The Registration is valid for a period of 3 years which the candidate may renew 2 months before the date of renewal or within 3 months after the expiry of the registration, online or in person.
The following documents (in original) are required to be produced at the Local Employment Exchange for Completing the Registration Process.
For Date of Birth- School Certificate/Matric Certificate/Birth Certificate as applicable.
Educational Qualification Certificates as applicable.
Tribe/Caste/OBC Certificate (in case of ST/SC/OBC candidate).
In case of Ex-Servicemen, Certificate from Competent Authority.
In case of Person With Disability –Disability certificate issued by Competent Authority.
