A Walk-in-interview/test will be held on 21-01-2014 at CSIR-NML, Burmamines, Jamshedpur for drawing a panel of suitable candidates for engagement on purely temporary basis as Project Assistant/Project Associate/Project Fellow & Sr. Project Fellow at different levels depending on the current and future requirements of various projects. Details are given below.

Project Assistant/Project Associate for CSIR Contract R&D Projects:
1. Name of the post: Project Assistant I
Qualifications : Three-year Full-time Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology with a minimum of 60% marks
Stipend (per month): Rs. 8,000/-
Maximum Age as on 21-01-2014: 28 Years

Name of the post: Project Assistant II
Qualifications : M.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / Environmental Science / Biotechnology with a minimum of 60% marks OR B.E./B.Tech. or Equivalent in Metallurgical / Chemical / Mineral Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/ with a minimum of 60% marks
Stipend (per month): Rs. 12,000/-
Maximum Age as on 21-01-2014: 28 Years

Name of the post: Project Assistant III
Qualifications : As for Project Assistant II + 2 years post qualification experience OR M.E./M.Tech. or Equivalent in Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science with a minimum of 60% marks
Stipend (per month): Rs. 14,000/- or Rs.16,000/-
Maximum Age as on 21-01-2014: 30 Years

Name of the post:Project Associate I
Qualifications : Ph.D. in Physics/ Materials Science/ Metallurgical Engineering (Post qualification relevant experience desirable)
Stipend (per month): Rs. 22,000/- or Rs. 23,000/- or Rs. 24,000/-
Maximum Age as on 21-01-2014: 37 Years

Project Fellow/ Senior Project Fellow for CSIR Plan Fund Projects:
Name of the post:Project Fellow
Qualifications : M.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / Geology with a minimum of 55% marks and qualified in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CSIR OR B.E./B.Tech. or Equivalent in Metallurgical / Chemical / Mineral Engineering with at least 60% marks and a valid GATE Score
Stipend (per month): Rs. 16,000/-
Maximum Age as on 21-01-2014: 28 Years

Name of the post:Senior Project Fellow
Qualifications : As for Project Fellow + 2 years’ post-qualification research experience + at least one research publication in SCI journals OR M.E./M.Tech. or Equivalent in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science with a minimum of 60% marks
Stipend (per month): Rs. 18,000/-
Maximum Age as on 21-01-2014: 32 Years
