NTPC is looking for Assistant Chemist Trainees (ACT) & Accountants for its Projects/Stations. The qualifying requirement for the posts is as under;

I.Name of the post : ASSISTANT CHEMIST TRAINEES (ACT)
No. of post : 09
Qualification: MSc. in Chemistry with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
Training, Emoluments & Placements: Selected candidates in the area of Chemistry will undergo training for a period of 1 year at NTPC‘s project/stations/other technical training institutions. During training, they will be paid a stipend of Rs. 20600/- per month with free bachelor accommodation with medical facility for self. The selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond to serve the organization for 3 years after successful completion of training. On successful completion of training, they will be placed in the scale of Rs.20600-46500 (E1 scale).
Upper Age Limit: 27 years as on 10.02.2014.

2. Name of the post : Accountant

Qualification: Qualified lnter CA / ICWA.
Experience: One year post qualification experience in relevant areas.
Scale & Grade: Rs 15500-3%-34500/- & W7 grade.
Upper Age Limit: 30 years as on 10.02.2014.

Selection Process: For the post of Asst. Chemist Trainees &Accountant (in case of large no. of candidates), eligible candidates will have to undergo two hours objective type online written examination / test. Based on the merit and requirement, the list of successful candidates for appearing in interview will be made available at ntpccareers.net and communication will be sent to such candidates. All such shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview.

Registration Fee : Rs.300/-

  • My doubt is regarding accountant post. I have just now seen the syllabus and found it really vast as it covered maximum no of laws. I want to know whether the organisation wants to test the detailed knowledge(EXPERT level) or just the basics?

        The examination is in English and Hindi Language.

        Test time period: 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours.

        This test consists of 120 questions. Technical question – 70 and Aptitude questions-50.

        The test consists of Objective Type questions.

        The questions carry 1 mark each.

    • In general the questions will be covered under the given syllabus. So you should prepare for your exam according to the syllabus provided.
