JBT COMMON ENTRANCE TEST FOR BATCH 2013-15 :
Consequent upon the communication of the Department of Elementary Education, Government of H.P. to conduct the “Common Entrance Test” for admission to Two Years Junior Basic Training Course” (batch 2013-2015), the test shall be conducted by the Board on 27th April, 2014 for filling up of 2875 seats in 12 DIETs and 20 Privately Managed JBT Affiliated Institutions.

The JBT course is only an academic course. Passing the JBT course successfully does not confer any vested or accrue right to the candidates for appointment in Government job. The last date for receipt of application forms in the Board’s office in respect to the candidates belonging to non-tribal areas shall be 24th March, 2014 and for candidates belonging to tribal areas it shall be 31st March, 2014. The Board shall not be responsible for any postal delay.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERION:
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR JBT CET:
The minimum essential educational qualification for JBT CET is Senior Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate or 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks. The candidates appearing in forthcoming annual qualifying examination may also apply provisionally but such candidates shall have to submit the original certificate in support of their having secured the minimum qualifying marks at the time of counseling. The relaxation of 5% marks in minimum educational qualification is available to SC/ST/OBC/PHH candidates.

AGE LIMIT:
The age limit shall be 17-28 years as on 30.04.2014 for all candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit shall be available as per the rules of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

APPLICATION FORM:
The Prospectus containing ICR Application Form shall be available in all Sale Book Depots of the Board in the State and DIET L & S at Tandi till 10th March, 2014 against cash payment of Rs.400/-.
