ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL COURSES IN KARNATAKA FOR THE YEAR 2014-15
Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu & Kashmir migrants for registration to the “Common Entrance Test-2014” to Professional Courses detailed herein under for the seats to be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the State for the academic year 2014-15.

Note :
(i) A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through the KEA(CET Cell) in any of the previous years will not be eligible to appear for the Common Entrance Test-2014 for selection of a seat in the same discipline. However, candidates are eligible to appear for a seat in different discipline subject to his forfeiting the earlier seat allotted to him on being assigned a seat this year.
(ii) The minimum passing marks for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA (4th Standard level) in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in GET-2014.
(iii) In the case of Agriculturist Quota, the merit list will be prepared based on 25% marks each, secured in concerned combinations in II year PUC/ 12th standard / equivalent exam (PCMB) & CET and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test. In case of B.V.Sc merit will be prepared based on 50% of Marks secured in CET (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and 50% of marks scored in the practical test.

How to Apply :
Supply Of Brochure Cum Application Form :
Within Karnataka: Brochure cum Application Form will be supplied through the schools colleges located within Karnataka where the students are pursuing 2nd PUC or 12th standard. The students have to first download the Challan from KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in by entering the name, date of birth, category and the name of the bank (State Bank of Mysore, Indian Bank, Central Bank of India). Then the students have to pay the requisite fee in any of the respective bank branches. The bank will retain a copy of the Challan (Bank copy) and handover the remaining two copies of the Challan to the students. Further, students have to hand over the Challan (KEA copy) to the concerned School / College Principal to obtain the brochure Cost of the Brochure is Rs 650/- (Rs 500/- for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-l) The repeater and ex-students who have passed the qualifying examination within the State of Karnataka before 2014 should also download the Challan, pay the fees in the bank for the above said amount and submit the copy of the Challan to the respective schools colleges to obtain the brochure cum application form.
Last Date to pay the fees in the bank after downloading the Challan and for submission of KEA challan copy to the colleges: 17-03-2014.

Outside Karnataka: The Karnataka candidates residing outside Kamataka (Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Kamataka candidates i.e., who fulfils the eligibility conditions) who are studying or who have studied 12th standard or equivalent examination outside the State of Karnataka, within the territory of India, can procure the brochure cum application form by “SPEED POST”, by sending a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 25 cm x 30 cm along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and a Karnataka candidate residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a demand draft for Rs. 5,000/-. The contents on the self-addressed envelope should be in English or Kannada language only. The cover in which the demand draft and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly super scribed with the words “REQUEST FOR CET- 2014 BROCHURE” and should be sent to the following address of Executive Director by “Speed Post” ONLY. The KEA will not take responsibility for the envelopes sent through courier or given in person or through any other private arrangement and also for incomplete and insufficient address on the envelope. The last date for submission of Demand Drafts by “Speed Post” to KEA is 17-03-2014.
Brochure cum Application will be supplied on or after: 22-03-2014 to the respective school / colleges or to the address furnished by candidates.

Candidates are advised to verify and confirm that they are fulfilling any one of the Eligibility Clauses updated on the KEA Website and also in the brochure before applying for admission to Government seats in Professional Colleges in the state of Karnataka for the year 2014. For any reason the fee paid by the candidates will not be refunded

The information / particulars furnished by the candidates in their CET – 2014 application form is FINAL. The information furnished in the GET-2014 application form with regard to Caste Category and Annual Income remains the same for the purpose of assignment of ranks / allotment of a seat and no change will be entertained in future for any reason. While submitting the filled application form, do not enclose any paper/certificate / marks card along with the filled application form.
