Latest Update:
1. The date for Registration of Colleges/ Institutions for subsequent Validation/ Verification of students’ Scholarship Application form has been extended up to 31st March 2014.
2. All Colleges/Universities/Institutions are hereby instructed to register themselves within 16th to 25th March 2014 as per the format which would be available on the website in order to get their User ID and Password for Data validation and verification of the application form submitted by their students. Medhabruti Scholarship scheme is a benevolent scheme of Govt. of Odisha in order to encourage the talented students for further studies. Hence you are advised to co-operate for this noble cause.
3. Renewal of students shall be resumed shortly. College login shall be given immediately after closing of the Online Scholarship Application Form 2013-14.

New Scholarship Application Guideline :
The prime Users of this web application are
(1) the Students, who will apply for the scholarship,
(2) the College/Institution/University Authorities who will verify the genuineness of the scholarship applications, sought by their students and
(3) the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Odisha, who will finally grant scholarships to the students.

Guideline for Students :
The students are advised to access the Scholarship official Web application of Higher Education Department, Govt. of Odisha through Medhabruti website. On line Application for scholarships and Registration of the Student.

The students are advised to fill-up the on line application form very carefully as stated below :
** Student should ensure for the genuineness of their marks secured.
** Student should ensure for the correctness of their mobile No, mail ID, Bank A/c details like Bank A/c No., IFSC Number and MICR Number.
** Student should have their Photo Image in digital form in .jpg file extension to upload on to the on line form. Without uploading the image, the information won’t be saved and the application can’t be sought.
** The information with (*) asterik mark is mandatory.After verifying the information, the student can save the online application form. Once the form is saved they will be provided with a registration Number automatically by the Web application. The registration Number will be emailed to the mail-ID of the student and an SMS will be sent to the mobile No. of the student acknowledging the new registration of the student and receipt of the scholarship application.

If the student is unable to find his/her College/Institution name already available in the Web application while filling-up the forms, is advised to contact with their College/Institution authority. They might not have registered their college/Institution name in the Web application.

After saving of the application, the student is advised to take 2 copies of the print- outs of the application form as one copy is to be submitted to the college/Institution and the other as his/her personal copy to be kept. Submission of the copy to the college/Institution is mandatory.

The student can log into the Web application by giving his registration no (provided to him/her at the time of the registration by email/SMS) and their date of birth as recorded in the Web application.

The information given in the application form can be edited/ changed by the student until the application form is validated at their respective college/institution level. In future if the student intends to change or modify any information like change in mobile no etc. he/she may request their college/institution for the modification. After necessary modification they can also collect a copy as an acknowledgement of the modified information from the college/institution.

The student will be intimated through email and SMS regarding the achievement of the scholarship after final selection is made at the College/Institution and the Higher Education, Department. For the status of the application, the student should check in the e-medhabruti Web application. An SMS showing the details of payment will be sent to the student whenever an amount is transferred to his/her bank account online. In case of the rejection, the cause of the rejection can be found in the rejection list in the Web application.

Documents Required to submit along with Scholarship Application Form :
1. Attested copy of Residential Certificate.
2. Attested copy of income certificate of parents from employer and/or appropriate authority.
3. Attested copy of certificate & mark sheet of last qualifying examination.
4. Attested copy of the Bank Pass Book showing name the application & account number.
5. Attested copy of rank card issued by the chirperson of OJEE/AII India Test.

Guideline for College/Institutions :
** The authority of the college/Institute are advised to access the official Web application of Medhabruti of the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Odisha through Medhabruti website. They can Sign-up to get their Authority login on behalf of the College/Institution for the further process.
** The res In the College/Institution login, the scope of their operation is defined as below.
** The Scholarship application should be enclosed with copy of supporting documents i.e. copy of first page of savings Bank Pass Book issued by the Banks, last academic performance report etc.
** After receiving the Scholarship application, the college Authority shall verify the form about the correctness of facts submitted by the students.
** After necessary verification of the concern College Authority, the verified list of the students shall be visible and updated to the Higher Education Department on daily basis for the preparation of the bill.
** The disbursement of all scholarship amounts shall be credited to the Savings Bank Account of students directly by the Electronic Credit System.
** A student who is receiving any other scholarship awarded by the state or central Government i.e. scholarship awarded by S.T & S.C Development Department including Minorities & Backward class Development Department, Minster of Labour & Employment to the children of Beedi workers etc.; their cases should not be forwarded to the Higher Education Department.
