Applications are invited for the following position on a purely temporary basis in the project tilted “Efficacy of Affirmative Action Policies in India’s Education System”. The project is sponsored by Indian council of social science research, New Delhi for a period of two years at the institute. It involves intensive field survey based research in different districts of Karnataka.
1.Name of the post : Research Associate
No. of post : (02): Initially for the period of six months, extendable for one year subject to satisfactory work performance.
i) Post graduate/M.Phil/Ph.D. in social science with good academic record
ii) Preference shall be given to those who have research experience/supervising capacity/handling with large data set/working knowledge of statistical packages etc.
iii) Consolidated salary: Ranges between Rs.15000/- to Rs. 20,000/- per month
iv) Language proficiency: No barrier but Kannada can be additional benefit
2.Name of the post : Research Assistant
No. of post : (01) for a period of six months extendable for one year subject to satisfactory work performance
i) Post graduate in social science with good academic record
ii) Preference will be given to those who have research/field experience in rural and urban areas.
iii) Consolidated salary ranged between Rs. 12,000/- to 15,000/- per month
