Procedure for Availing New Power Supply:
Step 1) Applicant to submit the duly signed PSAF Application form along with the attached documents at the below mentioned address:

Step 2)Tata Power will conduct site visit and technical feasibility after the submission of duly completed PSAF.
Step 3) Tata Power will issue Proposal Letter after conducting site visit / technical feasibility.
Step 4) Customer has to submit the acceptance of the proposal letter / substation agreement (if applicable) after receipt of proposal letter.
Step 5) Tata Power will commence substation erection and commissioning activity.
Step 6) Customer has to erect the equipments in their scope wherever applicable (ex: HT customers).
Step 7) Customer has to submit individual PSAF for every new connection required.
Step 8)Tata Power will intimate the charges payable by the applicant for every new connection based on Schedule of Charges / Rates as approved by MERC for
Tata Power from time to time. This will include:
a) Application registration and processing charges.
b) Service connection charges.
c) Security Deposit.
d) Any other charges approved by MERC from time to time.
Step 9)Tata Power will initiate the process of provision of power supply / last mile connectivity as per MERC Standard of Performance, Regulations 2005, only after receipt of payment of charges.
Step 10)Kindly refer the List of Compliances (Annexure 4) given overleaf, to be adhered by applicant before energisation.
Step 11)To pay for the said supply at the prevailing tariff rates and also to pay the charges based on the Schedule of Charges / Rates for the individual connections approved by MERC for Tata Power from time to time (Annexure 5)

How much maximum load can a single phase supply withstand? About 7 kW ?

The benefit that a three-phase connection provides is that it gives flexibility to divide the load in a setup on three different phases. So for example if there are three Air Conditioners, then each can be setup on each of the phase, thus not putting excess load on any one phase. In case one of the phases fails due to a fault at the distribution point, the other two phases keep running and this prevents complete blackout of the setup. So in your house, if you have three rooms connected to each phase, then even if one phase fails from the electricity distribution transformer, only one room will not have electricity, but the other two will continue running.
