The Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax Pune Zone, invites applications for the recruitment of Meritorious Sportsperson in different Games / Sports as listed below for the posts of Tax Assistants (T.A.) in the Pay Scale of Rs. 5200-20200 (PB3) Grade Pay of Rs. 2400. The posts are purely on temporary basis but likely to be made permanent. The Probation period is of two years.

Age Limit : For the post of Tax Assistant the Age limit will be between 20 and 2′] years as on 5th May, 2014 (the closing date of receipt of application) (relalxable upto 5 years for General / OBC candidate and 10 years in case of SC/ST candidates). The age limits also relaxable upto 40 years in case of SC/ ST Departmental candidate.)
Educational Qualification :
(I) Degree from the recognized University or equivalent and
(II) Having Data Entry Speed of 8000 Key Depressions per Hour.
Sports Eligibility : Appointments can be made of a sportsman considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria.
Sportsman who have represented in any of the games/ Sports mentioned in the list;
(a) The country in an International Competition
(b) The State in a National Competition.
(c) The University in the inter-University tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board.
(d) The State school team in National Sports/ Games for School, conducted by the All -India School Games Federation.
