Results of 2nd Stage Written Examination for the Post of JUNIOR CLERK CUM TYPIST
Based on the second stage written examination held on 19.01.2014 for recruitment to the post of JUNIOR CLERK CUM TYPIST (Cat.No.04)of CEN 04/2010) in scale Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 1900, candidates with the following Roll Numbers have provisionally been short- listed for Skill test (Typing Test) subject to the correctness of information furnished in their application form. Skill Test (Typing Test) for the above post is scheduled to be held on 27.04.2014.

Separate call letters detailing the time and venue of the test have been sent to the above short-listed candidates. In case, if any candidate who do not receive his/her call letter in time, may personally contact the office of the Railway Recruitment Board, Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram on 26th April 2014 from 10.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs., for getting duplicate call letter. Candidates should bring along with them the candidates’ portion of the call letter of 2nd stage written examination and two copies of passport size photographs for getting duplicate call letter.

Candidates may please note that more number of candidates than the notified vacancies are short-listed for being called for the Skill Test (Typing Test) primarily to avoid shortfall in the panel and that merely calling a candidate for the / Skill Test (Typing Test) does not in any way entitle him/her to an appointment in the Railways.

While every care has been taken in preparing the above result, the Railway Recruitment Board, Thiruvananthapuram reserves the right to rectify the errors and omissions, if any. The result can also be viewed on the notice board at RRB office, Thiruvananthapuram

Instructions To Candidates :
1. Candidates should bring the original call letter for typing test.
2. The typing skill test will be of qualifying nature.
3. The duration of the test will be TEN (10) minuets.
4. As the skill test is to determine the speed, candidates who have completed the passage can retype the passage within the duration of the test i.e. 10 minutes.
5. The candidate should not leave the examination hall until they are asked to do so
6. The sheets containing the printed matter should be handed over to the invigilator before leaving the hall.
7. The candidates shall abide by any other instructions given by the test Supervisor.
8. The candidates should maintain silence and are forbidden from talking to/or consulting other candidates. The candidates who fail to do so or indulge in disorderly or improper conduct will render themselves liable for expulsion from the test or such other action, as the Board may deem fit.
9. Request for any change of date or centre will not be entertained.
10. Candidates can opt for either manual typewriter (or) Computer for the skill test. If manual typewriting is opted candidates should bring a type writer in working condition on their own. If computer is opted, computer will be supplied by the RRB.

For Manual Typewriter :
1· Candidates will be given some time to practice with his/her typewriter.
2· The speed test will be at the rate of 30 w.p.m. for English and 25 w.p.m for Hindi.
3· Candidates should not write or type their names anywhere else in the typing sheet other than the prescribed space. Blank space should be scored out after finishing the test.
4· Candidates shall type in double line spacing and on only one side of the paper supplied.
5· Candidates shall not type/ erase/write after the expiry of the allotted time.

For Personal Computer :
1· The candidates are required to type on the PCs provided to them.
2· Candidates will be provided with a Mock (Practices) test before the start of the real test.
3· Candidates will be provided with roll No. and the corresponding password to Login to his/her test page.
4· The speed test will be at the rate of 40 w.p.m. with edit facility or 30w.p.m without edit facility for English and the candidate will be allowed to select their choice.
5· Candidates who wish to take the Hindi typing test, shall type at a speed 35 w.p.m with edit facility (except spell check) or 25 w.p.m without editing facility. They must familiar in the usage of Mangal font Unicode typing .
6· After completing the typing, candidates will be provided the print out of their typed script and the same has to be signed and given back to the authorities.
