ADMISSION TO B.TECH, B.TECH (LET) Courses 2014 :
Vidya Academy of Science & Technology Technical Campus (VAK), Kilimanoor is the second engineering college of Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT), an NRI venture functioning in the higher educational field of Kerala State since 2001. VICT is backed by more than 1000 trustees, all NRIs. VICT started its first Engineering college, Vidya Academy of Science & Technology (VAST) Thalakottukkara in Thrissur District in the year 2003. From a humble start with 240 students in four branches of engineering in 2003, the college has grown to a centre of excellence with an intake of 630 students for B Tech, 60 for MCA and 96 for M Tech each year.

Duration Of Courses :
a. B.Tech degree course will be completed over a period of 4 years consisting of 8 semesters.
b. B.Tech (LET) course will be completed over a period of 3 years consisting of 6 semesters.
Eligibility For Admission :
a) B.TECH :
i) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission.
ii) Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 60% aggregate marks in Physics & Chemistry put together and 45% marks in Mathematics are also eligible for admission.
iii) Candidates who have diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, or an examination recognized equivalent thereto, by the State Board of Technical Education after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final Diploma Examination are eligible for admission to the special reservation quota.
iv) Candidates should have passed and be ranked in the Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical Entrance exam (KEAM) 2014.
b) B.TECH (LET) :
i) Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or equivalent after undergoing regular course of three years of study in an approved institution are eligible for admission.
ii) Rank in Entrance exam 2014 for Lateral Entry Test (LET)
Eligibility For NRI Seats : Eligibility remains the same as above except that NRI candidates are exempted from appearing in KEAM – 2014. However for VIDYA institutions minimum qualifying marks for NRI will be 60% and 55 % respectively for general and reservation categories.
How To Apply For Admission To Management Seats :
a) Application forms will be issued from 16 April 2014 onwards. Application can also be made online through the college website vidyatcklmr.ac.in on remittance of Rs 500/- by DD in favour of Vidya Academy of Science & Technology Technical Campus payable at Kilimanoor.
b) Duly filled application shall be submitted to the college online, by hand or by post before the last date notified.
c) Documents to be submitted along with application form are mentioned in the instructions to applicant attached to application forms.
