Live streaming for General Elections 2014 (Public access to view the Counting of Votes):
**  This department has made arrangement for live streaming of the counting process of votes for the General Election to LokSabha, 2014 and Bye Election to Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Constituency from 28. AlandurAssembly.

**  In each Parliamentary Constituency, the Returning Officer’s room and the Constituency Assembly segments will be available for public viewing. Assembly segment camera will show counting process, whereas the Returning Officer’s camera will focus on the round-wise results on a digital board. The award of elections certificate to the winning candidate can also be seen through the Returning Officer’s camera.A website public.gelsws.in has been created, which can be accessed by public to view this live video streaming.

**  General viewer needs to first register her/his name and phone number in the register page of the website; upon registration she/he will receive an SMS with temporary user name and password on the entered mobile number, which can be used to access the live streaming page. Registered users will then be able to choose and viewcounting of Parliamentary Constituency of his/her choice.

**  It is also informed that the access to view the video will be available on firstin- first-out basis as many and as 5000 viewers can log on at any point of time. If it crosses this figure then those who had logged in earliest would be logged out. The minimum available time to each logged in person would be 5minutes and the maximum would depend on number of persons logged in.
