Vice Chancellor’s Fellowship Programme :
The University of Delhi invites applications from all permanent academic employees of the University of Delhi and its colleges and who shall be below the age of 45 (as on December 31, 2013) for ten positions under the Vice Chancellor’s Fellowship Programme.
These prestigious positions are for the duration of a full calendar year beginning January 1, 2014 and shall carry the following duties:
A Vice Chancellor’s Fellow shall be required to have the ability to think boldly; out-of-the-box and contribute in original and significant ways to one or more of the following broad areas and themes/programmes of the University’s major activities in the coming months
1. Develop meaningful ideas, ways and means of providing instruction in the Foundation and Application Courses under the new undergraduate programme through technology based platforms or through production of reading/learning material in collaboration with leading international institutions.
2. Developing technology based open learning modules for massive numbers of students on open platforms in partnership with leading institutions on a worldwide basis.
3. Devising innovative ways and means of testing and assessment.
4. Developing the framework for an innovative Masters programme based on hands-on research in Cancer and Infectious Diseases where some of the world’s leading universities are expected to partner and where ancient Indian systems of medicine will be accorded importance alongside modern systems.
5. Readiness to imbibe and propagate new ideas and methodologies in the context of the best educational practices in research and teaching.
General Information And Instructions For Submitting Applications:
The Vice Chancellor’s Fellow shall be treated as being on duty and shall draw-in addition to regular salary and allowances-a special ‘Deputation Allowance’. The Vice Chancellor’s Fellow shall be required to be available for travel for purposes of training and collaboration.
