Manager : Sbu Hatchery (lru/npu)
Qualification :
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution, College or University with major course work in aquaculture, Oceanography or related field. Preferably Masters Degree in Business Management

Experience :
At least 10 years working experience in the relevant field

General Job Description :
** Manage and supervise operations of NPC hatcheries production facilities which seed Nauplii, and breed/produce and harvest Larvae and post-larvae cultivate, for farms to breed and harvest shrimp within the framework of HACCP, SQF, EU Directives, FAO, FDA, EPA rules, ISO and other international standards
** Monitor the environment using necessary instruments, and kits
** Keep records of breeding, production and treatment programs
** Ensure efficient running of the hatchery units including cost-effective production of stock by optimal usage of available resources such as manpower, materials, feeds, and other items.
** Ensure minimum cost in unit’s operations by optimal usage of available resources such as manpower, materials, and processes.
** Identify requirements of the species, brood stocks and select and oversee preparation of facilities for cultivation.
** Identify common diseases in shrimp larvae, post-larvae, and take the necessary steps to prevent problems which may occur.

2. Aquaculture Specialist : SBU Hatchery
Qualification :
Bsc in Aquaculture and experience that provide the required knowledge will be evaluated on an individual basis; in other words:

Experience :
At least 4 years working experience in the relevant field

General Job Description :
** Monitoring of water parameters, at source and during transport.
** Stocking of broodstock in the broodstock holding tanks.
** Calculation of ABW and feeding rates.
** Ablation of s.
** Monitoring water parameters, photoperiod, temperature, and salinity in the tanks.
** Monitoring feed consumption.
** To check waste feed removal and water exchange required.
** Reporting of feed requirements to NPU In-charge.
** Record moltings and deaths in the tanks.
** Check and monitoring water air heating/cooling systems and reporting where systems are not functioning.

3. Manager : Shrimp Hatchery
Qualification :
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution, College or University with major course work in aquaculture, Oceanography or related field. Preferably Masters Degree in Business Management

Experience :
Eight years of progressively responsible experience in aquaculture, sea-food hatcheries, farms, grow outs, using computers and the related software, including three years of managerial or supervisory responsibility

General Job Description :
** Manage and supervise operations of facilities which seed Nauplii, and breed/produce Larvae and post-larvae cultivate, and transfer to NPC shrimp ponds, farms to breed and harvest shrimp within the framework of HACCP, SQF, EU Directives, FAO, FDA, EPA rules, ISO and other international standards
** Research and experiment on nutrition or methods to control predators, parasites and other disease causing organisms supervise, manage the microbiological analyses.
** Monitor the environment using necessary instruments, and kits
** Keep records of breeding, production and treatment programs
** Ensure efficient running of the hatchery units including cost-effective production of stock by optimal usage of available resources such as manpower, materials, feeds, and other items.
** Ensure minimum cost in unit’s operations by optimal usage of available resources such as manpower, materials, and processes.
** Identify requirements of the species, brood stocks and select and oversee preparation of facilities for cultivation.

4. Officer Bio security :
Qualification :
Bachelor Degree in Marine Sciences, Fisheries Management, Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Pathology, Veterinary Medicine or other related field.

Experience :
At least 5 years work experience in the relevant field.

General Job Description :
** To implement bio-security measures as per the bio-security manual.
** To implement bio-security and hygiene plan to production units and assist them in maintenance.
** Coordinate with department in initiating training & awareness programs on bio-security
** To train & educate technical, skilled & semi-skilled staff on maintenance of bio-security.
** To review global bio-security practices in aquaculture projects & suggest measures for adoption.
** To work with HOD (BSD) for further up gradation & reviewing of bio-security manual as per suggestions of health consultant.
** Monitoring personnel and vehicle movement within as well as outside vehicle entering NPC & issuing of pass after full bio-security measures are followed.
** Daily inspection at Zone 1 to 6 (Town ship, Farms Phase 1 & 2, Hatchery units, BBC and accommodations) for any abnormality activities against bio-security.
** To check regularly farms & hatchery, for any abnormalities and reporting it to Pathology lab for finding out exact cause of the problem.
