Get Enroled:
You can enroll for an Aadhaar at any of the Enrolment Centres in your state. These centres are run by UIDAI appointed Registrars. In order to get an Aadhaar you will be required to visit an Enrolment Centre, fill and submit the enrolment form (which asks for basic information like age, gender, date of birth, address) and get your Biometric data (fingerprints + iris image) captured.

Book an Appointment:
UIDAI appointed Registrars are conducting enrolments for Aadhaar in 18 states and union territories. In the rest of the country, the Registrar General of India is conducting enrolments for the National Population Register (NPR). Data collected for NPR is passed on to UIDAI as well for Aadhaar generation. Remember to carry relevant documents for enrolment.

Get E-Aadhaar :
You can now download an electronic version of your Aadhaar. E-Aadhaar is as valid as the original Aadhaar letter and can be downloaded on submitting your Aadhaar or the enrolment ID (found on the Enrolment slip given to you at the time of enrolment).

Provide your Enrolment ID (found on the Enrolment slip given to you at the time of enrolment) to receive your Aadhaar on your registered mobile number. Your registered mobile number is the same as the one you gave at the time of enrolment.

    I lost my eid no. and mobile no. then how can I get again eid no?

    • 1. At the enrollment center, please fill your personal details within the form. Your photo, finger-prints and iris scan will also be taken as a part of the enrollment. You can review the details you have provided and make corrections during enrolment itself. You will get an acknowledgment slip with an temporary enrolment number and other details captured during enrolment
      2. India Post may ordinarily take 3-5 weeks to print and deliver Aadhaar letters to the residents.

    • The resident can contact the Contact Centre (through phone / letter / email) with the enrolment number and make a request for sending a second letter communicating the Aadhaar number. This may be a paid service.

      In case the Aadhaar number has been used to avail a service or benefit, the resident can contact the agency that offers the same, to obtain the Aadhaar number.

    • The UIDAI has set up a Contact Centre that serves as a single point of contact for the organization. The existing channels of communications are : Voice (Helpline number: 1800 1801947),FAX (080-2353 1947 ,Letter(P.O. Box number 1947, Bengaluru- 560 001) and E-mail (help[AT]uidai.gov.in).

    • ** The UIDAI will set up a Contact Centre to manage all queries and grievances and serve as a single point of contact for the organization. The details of the Contact Centre will be published on the website as and when enrolment begins.
      ** The users of this system are expected to be residents, registrars and enrolment agencies.
      ** Any resident seeking enrolment is given a printed acknowledgement form with an Enrolment Number, that enables the resident to make queries about her/his enrolment status through any communication channel of the contact centre.
      ** Each enrolment agency will be given a unique code that will also enable faster and pointed access to the Contact Centre that includes a technical helpdesk.
