C-DAC, Kolkata, an R&D Organization under the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & IT, Govt. of India, invites applications for the following contractual posts
A. Name of the post : Project Engineer-I
Consolidated per month : Rs. 31000/- only
No. of post : 01 or 02 posts
Essentials:
(A) 1st Class B.E/B.Tech (Computer Science/Electronics) or
MCA or equivalent Degree in Computer Science /Electronics or
DOEACC ‘B’ Level with minimum of 01 year of Post Qualification Work Experience in relevant field or
Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science/Electronics/IT/Computer Applications with at least 01 year of post qualification work experience in relevant field.
(B) Programming experience on C, C++, Java, PHP/Perl/Python Programming. Fundamentals of Data Structures and algorithms, MySQL database. Good Knowledge on Digital Signal Processing or
Knowledge in smart card technology.
Desirable: Experience on speech technologies applications like Speech Synthesis, Speech Recognition, Blind source separation etc.
Upper Age Limit: Should not exceed 30 yrs as on December 26, 2013*
B. Name of the post : Project Technician-II
Consolidated per month : Rs. 15500/-/-
No. of post : 01
Essentials:
Trade Certificate in relevant trade with NCVT/ITI with atleast 06 years of post qualification work experience or
Diploma in Engineering with at least 1 year of post qualification work experience or
Graduate in Computer Science/Electronics/IT/Computer Applications or Relevant Domain with at least 1 year of post qualification experience or
DOEACC ‘O’ Level with at least 05 years of Post Qualification work Experience or
DOEACC ‘A’ Level with atleast 04 years of post qualification Work Experience
Desirable:Practical Knowledge in Documentation of Source Code in IEEE standard; Preparation of Product-user’s manual Courseware, Website matters and Project completion report. Upper Age Limit: Should not exceed 30 yrs as on December 26, 2013

General Conditions:
i) Selected Candidates shall be posted at Kolkata but may have to undertake official tour in the interest of the Project within India.
ii) The Number of vacancies indicated are provisional and may vary at the time of actual selection. The Centre reserves the right not to fill up any of the posts, if it so desires.
iii) Term of appointment: The assignment is purely on contract basis, initially for a period of 02 years to meet the ongoing project requirements. Performance review shall be done after 01 year. Further extension of the tenure of contract will be purely based on needs of the organization and on the performance of the employee.
iv) Appointment based on this Notification will not confer any right whatsoever on the Recruitee for any regular appointment in C-DAC Kolkata or any other unit.
v) Mere fulfillment of the minimum prescribed qualification and experience will not vest any right on an applicant to be called for written test and/or interview. C-DAC Kolkata reserves the right to shortlist candidates by applying enhanced standards.
vi) Short listed candidates will be called for Test and / or Interview. The exact Date & time of the Test and /or Interview will be intimated separately through e-mail and /or letter by post. Candidates must have a valid e-mail id.
