Directorate of Employment Services & Manpower Planning :
The main objective of the Directorate of Employment Services & Manpower Planning ( ESMP) under the Department of Labour is to register the names of job-seekers and their periodical renewal in the Employment Exchanges. These are the basic information on manpower resources available in the State.

The Directorate also ensures supply of manpower to the employers in Public and Private Sectors, as per Compulsory Notification of vacancies Act 1959. Besides, the Directorate continuously takes up Career Counseling / Skill up-gradation/ Training/ Professional Courses for the employability of unemployed work force. Collection of ER-I, ER-II and timely transmission to DGE&T, Govt. of India are other important functions of the Department.

The Directorate regularly publishes Career Literatures for Student & conducts Guidance/ Career Counseling for students. Coaching Centres setup by the Directorate has opened up new vista among students, guardians & teachers towards achieving success in Joint Entrance and other competitive Examination. The Directorate endeavors to be the Career “Search Engine” to the youngsters.

Directorate of ESMP is situated at Office Lane in Secretariat Complex, Agartala with District Exchanges at Ambassa (Dhalai District), Udaipur (South District), Kailasahar (North District), Town Employment Exchange, Dharmanagar (North District) and Special Employment Exchange for Physically Handicapped Sub-Regional Exchange Agartala with REBX (Rural Employment Bureau) at Sub-Division/Blocks of the State.

Time Frame for Providing Services :
** Registration of names of Job-Seekers in the Employment Exchanges -On the same day in all Exchanges
** In Employment Information & Assistance Bureau (at Blocks)- Maximum 15 days.
** Periodical renewal of the Registration of Employment Exchange Card- On the same day in all Exchanges & in EI & AB in different Blocks.
** Submission of names against the vacancies notified by the different employers in Employment Exchanges- Within 10 days
** Pre-Registration guidance, individual guidance and small group guidance given to job-seekers- On the same day
** Promotional and motivational programme for job-seekers in Self-Employment- On the same day
** Hosting of Job-vacancies in and out-side Tripura through Tripura Government’s Website- 1st or 2nd day of every week
** Career Counseling- On the same day, as and when approached.
