M Tech Admission Notice – 2014 :
The institute invites application for admission in a 2-year M. Tech. programme in the following disciplines for the academic session 2014-15.
** Petroleum Engineering
** Chemical Engineering

Eligibility:
Petroleum Engineering: A 4-year B.Tech./B.E. degree in Petroleum, Petrochemical, Production, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a first class or minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (55% marks or 5.5 CPI for SC/ST students) in the qualifying exam and a valid GATE score.

Chemical Engineering:A 4-year B.Tech./B.E. degree in Chemical or Petrochemical Engineering with a first class or minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (55% marks or 5.5 CPI for SC/ST students) in the qualifying exam and a valid GATE score.

Shortlisted candidates based on their GATE scores and other academic credentials will be called for an interview. Final selection list will be made based on the performance in interview, GATE score and previous academic performances aggregately.

Application Fee (non-refundable) :
Rs.400/- (Four hundred only) for GEN and OBC
Rs.200/- (Two hundred only) for SC, ST and PH
Payment of the application fee can be made either through demand draft ( in favour of “Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology” payable at Rae Bareli) or through online transfer.

Reservation : Reservation policy as per the Government of India directives will be applicable.

Scholarship : GATE qualified students who are admitted to the M.Tech program will receive a monthly assistantship of Rs. 8000/- for four semesters only.

How to Apply :
Admission forms can be filled up online. he print out of online application duly signed along with demand draft/details of online payment and necessary enclosures should reach at the following address by the last date as specified under “important dates”. Please mark the envelope “Application form for M. Tech. (mention broad area)”.

1 Starting date for online submission of application: March 29, 2014
2 Last date for online submission of application : May 19, 2014
3 Last date for receipt of application by post : May 23, 2014
4 Declaration of list of candidates called for test/ interview : May 28, 2014
5 Date of written test and interview : June 20, 2014
6 Declaration of result : June 25, 2014
7 Acceptance of admission and submission of fee by demand draft. : July 16, 2014
8 Date of registration : July 26, 2014
9 Classes commence : July 28, 2014

Enclosures :
1 Demand Draft for the application fee (please write name on the backside of the demand draft). Not applicable if the payment has been made online.
2 Admit card and GATE score card copies, self-attested
3 Class 10th and 12th certificates and mark sheets.
4 Copies of the first, second, third and fourth year’s mark sheets & graduation degree.
5 Work experience certificate (If any)
6 Valid caste certificates as per the central list for OBC/SC/ST category.

9 One passport size latest color photo fixed on the application form.
10 Letter from competent authority for sponsored category with relevant experience certificate.
