Octroi e-Payment :
The Local Bodies are empowered to collect Octroi tax on entry of goods for use/consumption within areas of the Local Bodies. The rules for Octroi are defined in Corporation Act. These rules may be called the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (levy) of octroi rules, 1965. They shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1965.
Using this site anyone like Importer, Supplier, Transporter and Agent can assess Octroi payable and can Pay Octroi online.
To register on the portal click on Registration link and submit the necessary details that will be approved by the Corporation. Only approved one will be able to access this portal by using their Login Credential.
Who can use this portal?
** Anyone like Importer, Transporter, Supplier and Agent can use this system.
** Wants to assess octroi payable and Pay Octroi online.
** One can claim exemption in octroi for free gifts, exhibition, donation etc.
** One who wants to escort goods from the city.
** Only registered user can use this portal.
Procedure For Octroi e-Payment :
For payment, enter the following details in the link given below.
** Payment Mode.
** Bank Name.
Various mode of payment available for Octroi Payment:
1) Online through e-Payment :
One can pay octroi through Net Banking, Credit Card, and Debit Card as provided by the bank.
2) Pay at Place Import :
One can pay octroi through Cash, Demand Draft, Debit etc. at check post using this option.
3) Pay through Deposit :
One can pay octroi through deposit option. One can deposit certain amount to MGCM in advance and paid octroi through the deposit amount.
4) Pay through RTGS/NEFT :
One can pay octroi through RTGS/NEFT. RTGS Payments are allowed only if the payment amount exceeds Rs.200000/-. Incase the payment amount is less than Rs.200000/-, please use NEFT or other available mode of payment
