STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST – SET – December – 2013 :
Important Announcement:
Online Registration in the Website is Compulsory. After successful registration in the website a Registration id will be provided. Send the Conventional form by post after writing the registration ID in the column provided along with the printout of the Online Application form.

Conditions of Eligibility :
1. Those who have acquired Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade and B.Ed. degree in any discipline from any one of the universities in Kerala or have acquired these qualifications from any other university recognised as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for the SET December-2013 with certain exceptions as mentioned in the following paragraphs.

2. For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, those having MSc.Ed Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT will be eligible to apply. For Botany and Zoology, those having MSc.Ed Degree in Life Science (with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade) from one of the Regional Institutes of Education are also eligible.

3. For the subjects Anthropology, Commerce, French, Gandhian Studies, Geology, German, Home Science, Journalism, Latin, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Russian, Social Work, Sociology, Statistics and Syriac, candidates need not acquire B.Ed. Degree for applying for the State Eligibility Test.

4. Those who have acquired II class Master’s Degree in Communicative English with not less than 50% marks and BEd. are eligible to appear for SET in English.

5. Candidates who have acquired Diploma in Hindi Teaching, but do not have B.Ed. Degree, are eligible to apply for SET in accordance with the exemption clause provided in the Special Rules.

6. Candidates who have acquired B.Ed Degree in Hindi conducted by the Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha are exempted from theMarks secured for ( Paper I + Paper II) Maximum marks for (Paper I + Paper II) requirement of producing the equivalency certificate, as the degree has been recognized by the Universities in Kerala.

Instructions for Submitting Applications for SET – December – 2013 :
** For Online Registration, candidates shall obtain conventional application form available at the Head Post Offices listed by paying the required fee. Click here for the List of Head Post Offices

** Click ‘ONLINE REGISTRATION’ button below.

** Enter Application number and Site Access Key, printed on the Conventional Form and Press Login Button. On successful login, candidate will provided with a Data Entry Screen.

** Enter all the details carefully and after completely entering the details press SUBMIT button. If the data submission is successful, candidate will be provided with a filled in form containing the submitted data. If the candidate wants to make any modification in the submitted Data click ‘EDIT SUBMITTED DATA’ otherwise click ‘PRINT THE FORM’ to take the printout of the online application.

** Fill in the Conventional Application form, paste a recent passport size photograph on the space provided in the conventional form obtained from Post Office. (Do not attest, sign or seal on the Photograph)

** After completing all the above steps send the Printout of the Online Application signed by the candidate, filled in Conventional Form and other required certificates to the Director, LBS Centre for Science & Technology, Extra Police Road, Nandavanam, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram – 695033.

** Candidates need not send copies of any qualifying certificates such as SSLC Book, Degree, PG, B.Ed Certificate etc. along with this application. Instructions for submitting copies of certificates will be intimated later through this website at the time of publication of results.

MODE OF SENDING THE APPLICATIONS :
After completion of Step 1, the application form obtained along with the prospectus shall be filled in, affixing a recent passport size photograph of the candidate (no attestation required).

The duly filled in application along with the printout of the online application shall be sent to the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Extra Police Road, Nandavanam, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram by registered post or can be handed over in person at the LBS Headquarters (address given above) so as to reach his office on or before the last date fixed for submission of applications.
