To ensure that persons recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at Elementary, Secondary and Senior Secondary levels, one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools recognized by the Department of School Education, Haryana and affiliated by the Board of School Education, Haryana is that he/she should pass the “Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test”. “HTET” will be conducted by this Board in accordance with these Guidelines and such other rules/regulations/instructions/policies laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education/Department of School Education, Haryana.

Minimum Educational Qualifications :
(A) Level – I – For becoming Teacher for Classes I-V : Primary Teacher (PRT)
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009. OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and Passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed Or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed Or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.

Level – 2 – For becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
1) TGT Social Studies :
i) B.A./B.Com and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR
B.A. /B.Com with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.); in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 published on 31 August, 2009. OR
B.A. /B.Com with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard; OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.); OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year BA/B.Com Ed.; OR
B.A./B.Com at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) AND
ii) In case of B.A. /B.Com, in addition to English, a combination of at least two subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate individually in the subjects during all the years of study out of the following:- (1) History (2) Political Science (3) Economics (4) Geography (5) Sociology (6) Psychology Note: At least History or Geography should have been for all the three years of Graduation.
iii) In case of B.Ed., Social Studies as a teaching subject from a recognized university.
iv) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.

2) TGT Science :
i) B.Sc. and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR
B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009.; OR
B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard; OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.); OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year B.Sc. Ed.; OR
B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education); AND
ii) In case of B.Sc., a combination of at least three subjects out of the following:- (1) Physics (2) Chemistry (3) Botany (4) Zoology (5) Mathematics

Fees for HTET- 2013-14 Examination :
For All Candidates except SC & Differently abled – Rs. 600/- (Per Level)
For SC & Differently abled of Haryana Domicile only – Rs. 300/- (Per Level)
SC & Differently abled of other state – Rs. 600/- (Per Level)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE (ONLINE) :
BEFORE APPLYING ON-LINE, CANDIDATES MUST CAREFULLY GO THROUGH THESE INSTRUCTIONS
i) Carefully go through the INFORMATION BULLETIN – “Guidelines/Instructions -Scheme of examination” available on the website of the Board htet.nic.in
ii) Ensure your eligibility to appear in the examination.
iii) Proceed for remittance of examination fee through e-challan as per instructions given on the aforesaid website of the Board.
iv) Access/Login the website of the Board (www.bseh.org.in OR hbse.ac.in OR www.htet.nic.in) and follow the instructions as mentioned in the column “How to Apply – On-line Application Form”. It is also essential that the candidates should mention their name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth as mentioned on their certificate of Secondary examination. Mentioning Roll No. of Secondary Examination, Year of qualifying Secondary examination and Name of the Board are also essential.
v) Candidates are advised to keep one copy of Computer Generated Application Form (Confirmation Page) with them for future reference. There is no requirement to send any hard copy of any document including Computer Generated Application Form (Confirmation Page) to the Board or any of its District Coordination Centre.
vi) Online submission of multiple applications for a particular Level to the Board will be viewed seriously. Candidature of such candidates shall be liable to be cancelled and the candidate may be debarred for future examination (s) without making any correspondence in this regard.
vii) Candidates shall be allowed to make online corrections in their particulars and subjects (Except Level & Category/Physically Challenged Option) from 31-12-2013 to 02-01-2014 and afterwards no request will be entertained.

    1. ADMIT CARDS WILL NOT BE SENT BY POST. Every eligible candidate may download his/her admit card from the website (www.hbse.ac.in OR http://www.htet.nic.in OR http://www.bseh.org.in) with effect from 20.01.2014 onwards and appear in the examination at the allotted examination centre.
