Essential Qualifications :
1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST or those who passed their Master’s degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a PhD degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades 0, A, B, C, D. E F at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.‘
2. Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC (SLET/SET).

Desirable Qualifications :
A. Foods & Nutrition: Specialization in Basic and Advanced Nutrition / Therapeutic Nutrition / /Institutional Food Administration / Food Science and Processing

B. Resource Management Design Application: M.Sc CRME/RMDA Preference for skill in Product Design/Space Planning Interior Design and Decoration/ Sustainable Technology/Consumer Studies/ Entrepreneurship Development / Ergonomics.

C. Architecture and Interior Design: PG Architecture/PG Diploma in Interior and Experience in Spatial Planning and Product Design.

D. Development Communication and Extension: M.Sc. CRM/DCE Experience in Sustainable Development/ Behaviour Change Communication and Advocacy / Health Communication/grass roots Initiatives/media for social change.

E. MA Mass Communication with experience in new Technology based media production for social change and exposure to development sector/Grass-root initiatives/Media System‘

F. Human Development & Childhood Studies: Child Development, Human Development and Family Studies

G. Fabric Apparel Science: PhD in Clothing or Textile Science.

H. Education: M.Sc (Home Science / Life Sciences / Physics & Chemistry Science) & M.Ed. PhD in relevant subject. Knowledge of working on Computers for Graphics. Educational Technologies, An and Media creation.

I. Bio-Chemistry : PhD in the relevant subject. Experience related issues.

J. Food Technology: M.A/ M.Tech, PhD Specialization:Veg & Fruit processing / Meat & Milk / Food Engineering / Food Microbiology / Food Packaging

K. Physics : Specialization in Instrumentation and control

L. Chemistry: Specialization in Food or Textile Chemistry

M. Statistics: : Specialization in Food or Textile Chemistry! M.A./M.Sc. Mathematics. Statistics Operational Research/Biomedical Research and Epidemiology. Experience of 3-4 years in research.

N. Food Engineering: M. Tech in Food Technology and PhD Knowledge m Food Packaging instrumentation control & TQM.
