Online Applications are invited for filling up the post of Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade – II (Allopathic) in ESIC Hospitals/Dispensaries in the following States.

Post: INSURANCE MEDICAL OFFICER (IMO) GRADE-II (ALLOPATHIC)
Total of Vacancies : 122
Scale of Pay: Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100/- and Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-.

Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 07.10.2013. Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for employees of ESI Corporation and Government servants in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt. Upper age limit is also relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen & other categories of persons as per rules/instructions of Govt. of India.

Essential Qualifications:
1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualification included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-Section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. Completion of Compulsory rotating internship.
3. Language test: The candidate shall have to pass a qualifying test of middle standard in official language of the State concerned where the vacancies are notified.
4. Registration with the Medical Council of India.

How to apply:
Only System Generated Applications (through website of ESIC) along with the required necessary document in an envelope super scribed “Application for the post of Insurance Medical Officer Grade-II for __________________ (Name of the State where candidate wants to apply)” should be sent by Registered Post/Speed Post so as to reach the following address on or before 14.10.2013 (21.10.2013 for candidates residing in far flung areas):-

The following testimonials should be attached with application form:
(a) One copy of self-attested recent passport size photograph pasted on the application form.
(b) Self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of proof of age (Date of Birth), Educational qualification, Attempts Status, Compulsory Rotating Internship and Experience etc.
(c) Self-attested copy of Community Status Certificate in the prescribed form in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex.- Serviceman category. Candidates claiming reservation/ age relaxation on grounds of belonging to OBC should submit the self-attested copy of Community Certificate in Annexure -”A” prescribed vide Govt. of India, Department of Personal and Training OM No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 15.11.93 along with selfdeclaration given in Annexure – ‘B’ failing which the benefit of reservation and age relaxation will not be given.

Mode of Selection:-
(a) The selection for the post of Insurance Medical Officer Grade-II will be made on the basis of Written Examination [Part – I – Objective Test (to assess professional knowledge) and Part – II – Descriptive Test in Official Language (which will be of qualifying nature) of the state concerned where the candidate wants to apply.

The candidates qualifying in Part –I Objective Test and Part – II Descriptive Test in Official Language will be considered for shortlisting for interview on the basis of their performance in Part – I Objective Test.

The qualifying marks in Part – I Objective Test and Part – II Descriptive Test in Official Language shall be decided by ESI Corporation.

(b) Centre of Examination: The written examination and interviews for above States shall be conducted preferably at State Capital of the concerned State. No request for change of examination centre shall be entertained. However ESIC reserves the right to change the examination centre, if need be.

Last date of submission of hard copies of system generated online application (generated up to 07.10.2013 before 05.00 PM) is 14.10.2013.
