Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up of 13 posts of Planning Assistant for Town & Country Planning Unit, CE’s Office, APWD, Port Blair and the details of vacancy and eligibility conditions are as below

Total Post : 13
Classification : General Central Service, Group B, Non-Gazetted, Non- Ministerial
Pay Band & Grade Pay : PB-2 (`.9300-34800 + Grade Pay. `.4200)
Age : Male – 18 – 30 Years; Female- 18 – 35 Years;

Qualification Essential:
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Planning from a recognized University. (or)
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized University or having passed AIIA (Part A & B) examination conducted by Indian Institute of Architects & recognized by Council of Architecture (or)
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or having passed Part A & B Examination of Institution of Engineers (India), and
ii. At least one year professional experience in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering.

Desirable: Working Knowledge of Geographical Information System Software.

Center Of Examination: The Written Examination will be held at PORT BLAIR only.

Selection of candidates: Final selection for appointment of candidates to the post of “Planning Assistant” will be made on the basis of the marks secured (subject to candidates qualifying in the written examination) in written examination and personality test/ interview.

How to Apply :
The candidates eligible for the posts are required to apply in the prescribed proforma together with attested copies of Certificates of Educational qualification, age proof, valid Employment Registration card, experience certificate, Community Certificate (ST / OBC of A&N Islands) and other testimonials in support of the candidature for the post. The application shall be sent in an envelope superscribing “Application for the post of Planning Assistant” along with Two (2)-passport size photograph to reach the

Port Blair

Last Date : 10.12.2013 at 5.00 P.M.

Note :
i) There will be a written examination followed by interview. The written examination will be held only at Port Blair. The date / venue of Written Examination & Interview will be published in the Daily Telegrams and also announced through All India Radio, Port Blair. The same will also be available in the Andaman & Nicobar Administration website

ii) Only the candidates who qualify in the written examination would be informed of their selection in due course and till such time, no correspondence on the matter would be entertained.

iii) Admit Card for the written examination indicating the Schedule Venue/Centre of the Examination will be sent to the eligible candidates. The candidates can also download the e-Admit Card from the website

  1. What is model of written examination and the marks allotted for each section. I need syllabus also if possible.

    1. I could not find written exam details available in the website. You can also check in the official website. http://www.and.nic.in/
