International Case Writing Competition 2013 :
A case study is a description of an administrative situation/problem involving a decision to be made or a problem to be solved. It can be real or fiction that actually happened or simulated just as described, or certain dramatis personae have been disguised for strategic reasons. The reader takes the place of the manager whose responsibility is to discuss, deliberate and decide while the instructor moderates.

It is widely known in the academic and corporate circles that Dhruva College of Management-Hyderabad has been holding the International Case Writing Competition for the past five years and the number of participants have been increasing year after year.

Management teachers, Practitioners, Trainers, Consultants, Researchers, Freelance Case Writers, Entrepreneurs and Students, irrespective of their specialization or experience

Submission of Full Case – Nov 15, 2013
Intimation to shortlisted authors – Nov 16, 2013
Case Writing Competition – Dec 02, 2013

THERE IS NO REGISTRATION FEE.

Key Take Away :
Authors of the top 3 best cases will be guided by jury to edit/embellish further so as to make them worthy of internationally renowned impact journals. The one author whose case is chosen for publication in the best journal will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1, 00, 000.

Free Accomodation & Hospitality :
Need to book in advance via mail@dhruvacollege.net
** Accommodation is provided gratis for outstation participants on first-cum-first basis.
** All out station participants can arrive on Dec 1 evening and are required to leave Dec 3 morning.
** All the International participants can stay for a week. Dhruva will arrange local tours/sight seeing gratis.
** A/C accommodation is provided on payment of Rs 1, 000 per person per day.
** Guests accompanying authors/participants will be charged Rs 500 per day.

Guidelines For Submission :
All the cases accompanied with a teaching note should be mailed to mail AT dhruvacollege.net
** All cases should be teaching cases based on a real or virtual situation with a decision-making dilemma.
** Case studies submitted for the Competition should not have been published / presented before or be under consideration for publication.
** International submissions, if accepted and selected shall be allowed Skype presentation by the author, if he is not physically present.
** Abstract of the case should not exceed 150 words.
** Case study should be neatly typed in MS word format in Times New Roman with a font size of 12 point size & title of 14 point size; Spacing : Single spacing, Margins: 1 inch margins on all sides; Brief profiles of the authors (first, second, third) shall include their Names, Designations, Organizations and respective email ID & Ph NOs.
** By participating in the competition, the author is automatically agreeing to have the case study edited/embellished/published in any internationally renowned impact journal or ISSN/ISBN numbered book or in the 15th issue of our College journal “Vidwat : The Indian Journal of Management
