Direct Recruitment to the Cadre of MULTI TASKING STAFF

Applications are invited from eligible applicants to fill up the MTS posts in various Postal /RMS Divisions and Administrative offices in Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle in the pay scale of Rs 5200-20200+ Grade Pay Rs 1800/-.

Age Limit:
18 – 27 years as on last date fixed for registration of applications/booking of application through Speed Post/Registered Post i.e.07-04-2014 (Upper age limit relaxable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes up to five years and for candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes up to three years). For Ex-Servicemen and PH candidates, relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Education qualifications:
Matriculation/SSC or ITI from recognized Board. (Matriculation equivalency certificate like National open school etc.. will not be accepted).

Pattern and Syllabus for Examination:
I. The candidates shall be subjected to an Aptitude Test covering the fol lowing subjects/topics.
Part ‘A’ – 25 marks – 25 questions on General knowledge – Multiple Choice Questions
Part ’B’ – 25 marks- 25 questions of Mathematics – Multiple Choice Questions
Part ‘C ’- Two segments
1) 25 marks – 25 questions – English language -Objective Type /Multiple Choice Questions
2) 25 marks – 25 questions – Regional language-( Telugu )Objective type/ Multiple Choice Questions

II. DURATION OF THE EXAMINATION: 90 minutes.

III. MINIMUM QUALIFYING MARKS TO BE SCORED BY THE CANDIDATES:
A minimum of 10 marks should be scored by GEN category candidates in each part of the above Aptitude Test. OBC candidates should score a minimum of 9 marks in each part and SC/ST candidates should score a minimum of 8 marks in each part. In addition to this, GEN category candidates have to score a minimum of 40% marks aggregate while OBC candidates have to score 37% and SC/ST candidates have to score 33% in aggregate

APPLICATION FEE AND EXAMINATION FEE :
The details of amount of fees to be paid by different categories are indicated in the following table.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO APPLY ONLINE :
Before applying online the candidate has to keep all the relevant documents ready for entering the data as per the certificates (like DOB Proof, Certificate of caste, Ex Service man ,PH Certificate etc).
The Candidate has to keep ready of soft copies of his/her recent passport size photograph in JPG format(size not to exceed 20 KB)

The Candidate has to keep ready a soft copy of his/her signature made on a piece of paper with black ink in JPG format (size not to exceed 10 KB)
The Candidate has to update all the mandatory fields and confirm the declaration

The Candidate has to look at preview for verification and correctness of data fed
The Candidate has to submit the application by clicking “Save” button

The Candidate can take the print out and keep for further correspondence. No documents to be attached as proof at the time of submitting the application either in online or in manual process.

The Last Date for Payment of Examination Fee is 7th April 2014.

Provision has been made to the candidates to know the status of application submitted through a grievance provision which is available in the website www.appost.in INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO APPLY MANUALLY ( BY SPEED POST / REGISTERED POST)

The Candidates who want to apply manually has to DOWNLOAD ( will be available from 10.03.2014) the application on thick A4 Paper with 75-80 GSM.

For filling the application all the letters in application are to be filled in BLOCK LETTERS only. Only Black Ink/ Refill to be used for filling up of the application. The Candidate has to affix the latest passport size photograph self attested in the space provided for the purpose in the application form. The application is to be submitted in a A4 size cover without folding duly super scribed as ”APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF MTS RECURITMENT -2014 in…………………Division” on envelop and sent to the concerned authority as per the address given in the notification in column 5 of table at para 1 of notification containing the vacancy position by Speed Post/Registered Post. All the Columns in the Application should be filled in BLOCK LETTERS ONLY( Specimen Form for filling manual application is at Annexure – I for guidance) . The Application Fee/Examination Fee Receipt is to be pasted on the application in the space provided in the application form for the same duly noting the e-payment receipt against Sl.No. 14 of the application. Care must be taken to see that the application is not folded. Folded application will be rejected in scanning process.

The Applications should be sent by Speed Post/Registered Post only. The Speed Post /Registered Post article should be booked on or before 07.04.2014. Applications sent by Ordinary Post or any other means will not be accepted. Applications booked after 07.04.2014 will not be accepted and no correspondence will be entertained. .

Selection Procedure:
Based on the marks obtained in the Aptitude Test, a merit list of qualified candidates will be prepared in each Postal/RMS Division/Administrative Unit separately. As per the availability of vacancies as notified above, selection will be made in the respective unit based on the merit list among the candidates applied for that particular Division/Unit.

  5. Can an engineering graduate apply for MTS ap postal recruitment? It is given that SSC qualification is the eligibility. Does that mean it is the minimum qualification?

    1. Education qualifications:
      Matriculation/SSC or ITI from recognized Board. (Matriculation equivalency certificate like National open school etc.. will not be accepted).
      So you should apply with your SSC qualification only. Engineering studies is not required.
