The General Manager, Gun & shell Factory, Cossipore, Kolkata – 02 invites online applications from the Indian nationals fulfilling the requisite criteria for the following posts. Description of posts

1 Name of the post : Primary Teacher

Scale of Pay : PB-2 (Rs. 9300 – 34800/-) with Grade Pay of Rs.4200/-
Age : 18-30 years
Educational and other qualifications : Essential:
1. Higher Secondary or equivalent from a School / Board recognized by Government of India / State Government.
2. Degree or Diploma in Education or Teaching OR Basic Training Certificate from an Institution recognized by Government of India or National Council for Technical Education.
Desirable:
1. Post qualification teaching experience of (full time) at least 2 years from a recognized school in the Primary Classes in a regular capacity.
2. Competence to teach both in English/ Hindi and medium of instruction of the school i.e. Bengali and Hindi.

2 Name of the post : Stenographer

Scale of Pay : PB-1 (Rs. 5200-20200) with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400
Age : 18 – 27 yrs as on closing date for receipt of the application
Educational and other qualifications :
(i) Higher Secondary or equivalent from a School / Board recognized by Government of India / State Government.
(ii) Skill Test :
Dictation : 10 minutes at the rate of 80 words per minute in stenography (English or Hindi). Transcription : 50 minutes (English) & 65 minutes (Hindi) only on computers.

3 Name of the post : Fireman

Scale of Pay : PB-1 (Rs. 5200-20200) With Grade Pay of Rs. 1900
Age : 18 – 27 yrs as on closing date for receipt of the application
Educational and other qualifications :
(i) Matriculation or equivalent.
(ii) Must have completed basic course (not less than six months) on elementary fire fighting from an Institute recognized by State Government / Government of India.
(iii) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties. This requirement will be tested as under.
(a) Height without Shoes: 165 cms.
(b) Chest: unexpanded- 81.5 cms. & expanded- 85 cms.
(c) Weight: Minimum 50 kgs.
Endurance Test :
(d) Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5 kgs. to a distance of 183 mtrs. within 96 seconds)
(e) Clearing 2.7 mtrs. wide ditch landing on both feet (long jumps)
(f) Climbing 3 mtrs. Vertical rope using hands and feet.
Note: Concession of 2.5 cms. in height or chest may be allowed for the candidates from hilly areas.

Educational and other qualifications : Essential:
(i) Matriculation or equivalent.
(ii) Must be physically fit for the duties of Durwan as per specified standard indicated below.
(a) Height without Shoes: 165 cms.
(b) Chest: unexpanded- 77 cms. & expanded- 82 cms.
(c) Weight: Minimum 45 kgs.
Desirable: Ex-servicemen. Three years service as Home Guard / Civil Defence Volunteer and Training in at least basic and refresher courses in Home Guard and Civil Defence.
