The salient features of the Competitive Examination shall be as follows:-
1 The exam will consist of one paper of 100 Objective type multiple choice questions ( 300 Marks).
2 All questions will be related to the discipline of Veterinary Science. (Refer to Syllabus mentioned at Para 3).
3 The duration of exam will be Two hours.
4 The Level of questions will be of graduation standard.
5 All questions will carry equal marks. (i.e. 3 marks each)
6 There will be no negative marking.
7 The marks obtained in the written competitive examination shall be counted in the final merit .
8 The minimum qualifying marks shall be 35% for the General Category candidates and 30% for all Reserve Category candidates.
9 No candidate shall be called for the Viva-Voce unless he obtains the minimum benchmark i.e 35% for the General Category candidates and 30% for all Reserve Category candidates in the written Competitive Examination.
10 The Viva-Voce shall carry 40 marks and final result shall be prepared on the basis of the grand total of the marks obtained by the candidates in the written Competitive Examination and the Viva-Voce.
