JELP Scholarship For Empowering Education & Development
Objective :
To provide quick, annual assistance throughout the course duration to those needy and deserving students who intend to pursue higher studies but face paucity of funds, by arranging funds/resources.

Scheme :
This assistance will be in the form of Interest-Free Refundable Loan for all students who meet the Eligibility /Selection criteria. This scheme is proposed to be initiated in variants viz.,

1.Basic Graduation Courses upto Rs.1 lac, per student
i.e. Rs.30,000/- per year, for a maximum period of three years.

2.Post Graduation Courses upto Rs.3 lacs, per student
i.e. Rs.1,00,000/- per year, for a maximum period of three years.

Super Specialty Scholarships to meritorious student/s intending to pursue Super Specialty or Flagship courses.

This attempt is to provide timely assistance to the needy student/s and to motivate them to achieve their goal/aim in the field of academics.

Eligibility / Selection Criterion :
** Should be an Indian national, between the age group of 18 years to 35 years (the upper limit can be relaxed by the Core Committee)
** Students who wish to pursue any course in India or abroad in the Technical / Professional Employable segments like MBA, Engineering, MBBS / Medical, CA / CS / ICWA courses, after clearing the entrance exams / CFA, IT, B.Tech, Pharma, Architecture, Applied Sciences,Animation. Also includes any course found suitable enough to enable the student to earn a decent living or, as deemed fit by the Core Committee.
** The student/s must clear the examinations with at least 55% or equivalent, with an all-round development.

Courses :
Courses Such As Commercial Pilots, Air Hostesses, Additional Coaching Classes, Etc. Shall Not Be Considered

** Two more Patron Members of JATF Managing Committee

Zonal Committee :
** 3 Patron Members from JATF
** Zonal Chairman of JITO Zones
** Zonal Chief Secretary of JITO Zones
** Ex Officio Member Secretary from JATF Office

The Zone would be authorized to form local Sub-committees, Chapter-wise, for smoother functioning/ co-ordination, to enable the project reach to students at the grass root level.

Members of the Committee must be willing to give in Time and Resources, to attain the objectives of this scheme.

Funds / Resources :
** Funds would be budgeted at the beginning of every financial year, based on the total commitment received towards the Project.
** Every rupee committed would be utilized and distributed amongst students only. All Administrative and ancillary costs would be separate.
** Funds would be raised, collected and distributed, as per the guidelines set by the Core Committee, from time to time, which may be reviewed, if required.
** Amounts raised / issued for local activity would be fully utilized only for the activity earmarked.
** Funds raised by JITO Zone, through its Chapters, would be used for beneficiaries in that particular Zone.
** All contributions will be received, managed and disbursed by JATF Apex only.

Process Flow :
Registration And Applications :
Applications would be invited from the eligible students, through the Zonal offices/Central office. The applications, with all required supporting attachments / documents, should be submitted to the respective Zonal office between 1st June and 31st July, every year. The interviews would be scheduled in the last week of June and July and will be completed latest by the 15th of August. All disbursements would be released from the Central office by the 30th of August, every year.

Scrutinisation Process :
The complete forms, along with required supporting documents, would be collected at the Zonal offices and forwarded to JATF Apex office. The applications received would be screened at the Apex office. The shortlisted applications would be forwarded to the respective Zonal offices, who, in turn, will inform the applicants about the interview which will be conducted by a panel of Interviewers. The interviews would be conducted at a place convenient to the Committee and the Zone.

Interview Pattern :
** The interview panel would comprise of the Members of the Core and Zonal Committees.
** Each student, along with their parents, would be interviewed by the Panel.
** The final amount would be sanctioned by the interview panel as per the norms framed by JATF Apex and the disbursement will be made accordingly.

Mode Of Disbursement :
The amount sanctioned by the Panel would be paid immediately by Account Payee Cheque only.

Incentive / Encouragement :
The name of the sponsor, along with a brief profile of the benefitted student, will appear online on the website. This will encourage the students to perform better and the generous donor to encourage others to join the mission. The follow up with the students would be done from the Zonal offices and, if required, assistance will be extended from the Central office. Feedback from the students would also be displayed on the website.

Progress Report :
Every recipient of the loan scholarship will be required to send his/her progress report, every six months, to the Apex office and keep them informed about their future progress and achievements, if any. The Apex office will maintain a complete record of all the students who have been granted aid through this scheme.

Repayment And Reutilisation :
The amount given to the students is to be repaid to the Apex office after the moratorium period i.e. within one year of completion of education or getting a job, whichever is earlier.

The amount, thus received, would be redistributed to the next batch students.

The Chapter in that area is also permitted to extend additional assistance to the students, from their local funds. There is no cap on the number of applications.

However, each case would be processed on its merits and the inputs of the Zonal committee. In case the student goes for further studies, the duration for repayment would be extended accordingly.

In case of any dispute on what is mentioned above, the decision of the Core Committee shall be final and binding.
