INFORMATION REGARDING ADMISSION TO VARIOUS ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES FOR THE SESSION 2014-2015
APPLICATION FORMS :
Admission to various programs of study for the academic year 2014-15 will be processed under two categories (Entrance and Counseling). Each category has different application form.
** Category E : Admission through Entrance Test (for M.A. / M.Sc. / M.Com. / MCA / M.Pharm. / MSW / LLM / LLB / B.Pharm / B.P.Ed / BHM / B.Lib. / B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) / P.G Diploma courses
** Category C : Admission through counseling based on merit of All India Tests (CAT / MAT / CMAT (for MBA/MBA (Tourism)/ JEE (Main) for B.Tech Ist year JNU-DBT Combined Entrance Test, 2014 for M.Sc. Biotechnology)

Category E : ADMISSION THROUGH ENTRANCE TEST

COST OF APPLICATION FORM:
Rs. 500/- (Rs 250/-for SC/ST/PH) for MBA/MBA (Tourism) /B.Tech I year/ M Sc Biotechnology(JNU-DBT CET) and for other programmes viz. PG Entrance and PG Diploma and UG Professional Courses Rs 250/- (Rs 150/- for SC/ST/PH) Add Rs. 50, if application form is requested by post

HOW TO APPLY:
Application forms can be obtained in person from the cash counter of the University by paying cash and getting receipt of the same; OR by post from the Office of The Coordinator, Entrance Test, Administrative Block, HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar- Garhwal, 246174, Uttarakhand, with the bank proof (bank receipt/counter foil in original) of prescribed fee and a self addressed envelope (size 30cm x 22cm). Request for application must be superscribed on the envelope “Request for application form for admission 2014 (Course Name)”. Application Form(s) can also be downloaded from the University website www.hnbgu.ac.in, which can be sent to the University with the proof of deposited prescribed fee/Demand Draft. Application form shall not be accepted after the due date. Duly completed application forms should be sent by Registered/Speed post to “The Coordinator (Entrance Test- 2014), Administrative Block, H.N.B. Garhwal University (A Central University), Srinagar-Garhwal 246 174, Uttarakhand” on or before the last date. Candidates applying for the more than one programmes should send their application forms in separate envelops. Superscribe the envelope as “Application for admission to …………………………………….. (Name of the programme)”.

HOW TO DEPOSIT FEE:
Deposit fee in the University Account No: 33746581414 in the name of Power Jyoti Current Account of State Bank of India, Srinagar-Garhwal, Uttarakhand, (IFSC Code: SBIN 0010583) from any computerized branch of State Bank of India or by Demand Draft in favour of Finance Officer, HNB Garhwal University payable at Srinagar-Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Application forms can also be obtained in person from the cash counter of the University by paying cash and getting receipt of the same

Last date for the receipt of filled-in application by hand in the University cash counter, Srinagar/Pauri/Tehri campus : 05/05/2014 (Category E)
Last date for the receipt of filled-in application by speed post/registered post in the Coordinator’s Office : 10/05/2014 (Category E)
Last date for the receipt of filled-in application forms for category C (Counseling) by speed post/registered post in the Coordinator’s Office/Cash Counter of the University : 14/06/2014
Date of Entrance Tests: 04/06/2014 to 07/06/2014

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS:
** Certified copies of testimonials in support of educational qualification, eligibility, date of birth, caste category and certificates for weightage claimed must be attached with the form along with two self addressed envelopes of 22 cm X 10cm size.
** Self attested passport size colored photographs should be pasted at the appropriate boxes in the form.
** A student can appear in entrance test for P.G. courses in a maximum number of three subjects. For admission in practical subjects candidate should have studied the subject in graduation level.
** Candidates appearing in more than one subject for P.G. entrance test have to submit separate application form along with the prescribed fee.
** Separate entrance test will be conducted for B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses under School of Education.
** Those appearing in the final year examinations can also apply subject to the condition that they will have to produce their final year result on or before the last date of admission.
** Merely qualifying in entrance test does not guarantee admission in any programme, as admission to particular program is subject to the availability of seats in that programs and fulfilling other conditions.
** The result of entrance test shall be valid for admission for the current academic session only.
** Allotment of seats for admission at different campuses of the University shall be at the discretion of the University and further, the programs to run at these campuses are subject to sufficient candidates available for admission.

  1. I got 55.46% in graduation with NCC `C’ certificate holder having B grade in it. Can I get adm. In M.sc prog. by giving less donation?

  3. When will the counseling be started for llm?

  5. When will the counseling start and when merit list will be shown?

  10. Syllabus of mca entrance

    1. Students shall have to take a written examination of 100 multiple choice question (MCQs) based on undergraduate syllabus of the concerned subject of any
      Indian University for post graduate programmes. A candidate can appear in Entrance Test for P.G. programme maximum in three subjects. Candidates
