Details of Entrance Test:
** The Entrance Test will be based on the B.Sc. (Biotechnology) syllabus of University of Pune.
** The entrance paper will consist of 100 MCQ’s
** The marking scheme for the test is +1 for each correct answer and – 0.25 for each wrong answer.
** Sample questions for the entrance test are given below.
** Admission to the M.Sc. (Biotechnology) course is based purely on the merit in Entrance Examination.
** Admissions to reserved category candidates will be as per guidelines of UOP and Govt of Maharashtra
** Eligibility for admission to the M.Sc. (Biotechnology) course is minimum 55% marks for open category and 50% marks for the reserved category in B.Sc. Biotechnology degree as per UoP guidelines .

Schedule for Entrance Test:
Day and Date: Sunday,1st June 2014.
Time: 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m
Place: Fergusson College, Pune.
Students are expected to be present at the Entrance Test Venue by 10.00 a.m.
The seating arrangement will be put up on the notice board of the Biotechnology Department of Fergusson College at 9.0a.m. on the scheduled date of the entrance examination .
The candidates are expected to bring black HB pencil/ black ball point pen for the examination

IMPORTANT NOTE:
1. The admission offered in the above programme will be confirmed only after submission of the results of qualifying degree and payment of complete fees for the course.

2. Students whose names appear in the entrance merit list(accordingly notice will be displayed on the Departmental Notice board)and interested in taking admission to M.Sc.(Biotechnology) course are expected to fill up one more form online within three days after the declaration of results of T.Y. B.Sc.( Biotechnology ) of Pune University .

3. If the student fails to fill-up the second form indicating marks in B.Sc.Biotechnology his / her name will not be reflected in the final merit list of M.Sc.(Biotechnology).

4. If the results of T.Y. B.Sc.(Biotechnology) are not declared before 20th June then the final merit list of M.Sc.(Biotechnology) will be declared on the 5th day after the declaration of the results of T.Y.B.Sc.(Biotechnology) of Pune University, accordingly notice will be displayed on the Departmental Notice board.

5. Students from Universities other than Pune University should get equivalence from Pune University at the time of confirmation of admission failing which their claim to admission stands cancelled

6. The admission process will be as per University of Pune guidelines.
