Notification for admission to M.Ed. course
(Academic Session 2014-15)
Applications in prescribed form, obtainable from the Sales Counter of the University (not by post) on payment of Rs. 450/- in cash and on production of original / Xerox attested copy of the Mark-sheet of B.Ed. Examination from 16.05.2014 to 06.06.2014 (between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.) on all working days except Saturdays, Sundays and University Holidays, are invited for admission to One Year M.Ed. Course of Studies (Self-financing) for the session 2014-2015.
Candidates with at least 55% marks in B.Ed./B.Ed.(Sc.) examination will be eligible to apply. 5% marks are relaxable for SC, ST, OBC & PH candidates. Reservation in seats for reserved categories shall be as per Government rules.
Selection of candidates for fresh category will be made on the basis of performance in the Written Admission Test. For deputed candidates, selection will be made after calculation of their service experience only.
General Information Applicable To All Categories Of Candidates:
a) Fresher/Deputed/NRI candidates with minimum 55% marks at B.Ed./B.Ed,(Sc.) from any NCTE recognized institution are eligible to apply. 5% marks are relaxable for SC, ST, OBC & PH candidates.
b) Duly filled-in application forms along with self attested photocopies of mark-sheets of all the public examinations passed including age-certificate must be submitted to the office of the Secretary, Faculty Council (Arts etc.) at Rajbati by 06.06.2014. Sending of forms by post should preferably be avoided. Period of issue of forms is from 16.05.2014 to 06.06.2014(excepting Saturdays, Sundays and University Holidays) between 11 a.m. & 3 p.m. In case of the application forms downloaded from the website: (www.buruniv.ac.in), a copy of the challan for payment of Rs. 450/- (Rupees four hundred fifty only) at the cash section of the University or a demand draft of Rs. 450/- drawn in favour of the “Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan”, payable at Burdwan must be attached along with other documents while submitting the filled-in form either personally or through a messenger to the office mentioned above.
c) Reservation: As per Govt. Rules.
(i) Candidates, claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC* quota, must submit relevant certificate issued by the competent authority.
(ii) Candidates, claiming reservation under physically disabled ** quota must submit relevant certificate.
d) Deputed candidates must enclose the copy of the resolution of the Governing Body or appropriate authority of the concerned college/institution (present employer) regarding their NO OBJECTION.
e) For Hostel accommodation, separate form is to be collected from the Sales Counter of the University.
f) Two passport size recent photographs (self attested) are to be pasted in the spaces provided in the Application Form and the Hall Ticket.
g) Proof of NCTE recognition of the college where from the candidates passed B.Ed./B.Ed.(Sc.) examination is to be enclosed.
