Applications are invited for direct admission to the 2nd year Diploma in three year Diploma Engineering Courses through Lateral Entry in the 154 affiliated polytechnic colleges of the Board.

ELIGIBILITY :
a) 12th Science with Vocational/Technical
OR 10th + (2 years ITI)
Students passing 12th Science with Vocational/Technical subjects or 10th + (2 years ITI) in that order shall be eligible for admission to second year Diploma Courses of appropriate program.

b) Provided however if seats remained vacant then the same will be filled on the basis of merit as per the below mentioned eligibility criteria:
i) ITI at least with one year (who passed 10th level School Leaving Examination before admission to ITI courses) from any Institution of Punjab/ Other state.
ii) 10+2 vocational examination in various branches from any institute of Punjab/ Other State.
iii) 10+2 with science from any institute of Punjab / Other state.
iv) Two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal and have Punjab Domicile.

FEE :
Rs. 1250/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST Categories) which includes cost of prospectus and application form.

Architectural Assistantship, Civil Engg., Chemical Engg., Computer Engg., Electrical Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Electronics & Telecommunication Engg., Fashion Design, Leather Technology (Footwear), Garment Technology, Information Technology, Production & Industrial Engg., Leather Technology, Library and Information Science, Mechanical Engg., Mechanical Engg. (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning), Medical Lab Technology, Plastic Technology, Textile Technology (Knitting, Weaving & Spinning), Textile Design, Textile Processing, Automobile Engg., Marine Engg., Electrical and Electronics Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg.(Industry Integrated), Computer Sci. and Engg., Mechanical Engg. (Tool & Die), Aeronautical Engineering.

SUBMISSION OF ADMISSION FORM :
1. Admission application on the prescribed form (Attached at the end of this prospectus) complete in all respects must reach the Board’s Office by Registered post or submitted personally in the Board’s office on or before 6th June, 2014. Candidates should ensure that the particulars mentioned in the admission application form are correct and complete. Incomplete application forms will be rejected and the candidate will not be considered for admission.

2. No separate admission form is required for admission in the institutions located in Chandigarh.

3. All entries in the admission form must be in the candidate’s own hand.

4. No copies of the certificates are to be attached with the Admission Form. Original certificates are to be shown while reporting at the institutes.

5. Fees of Rs. 1250/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST category) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Edu. and Industrial Training” payable at “Chandigarh”.

6. The admission application shall be rejected if –
i) The entries are incomplete.
ii) The candidate is ineligible to apply for admission.
iii) Applications not accompained by requisite fee.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS :
The application forms complete in all respects may be submitted to the Board’s Office at Plot No. 1A, Sector 36-A, Chandigarh on or before 6th June, 2014 along with fee of Rs. 1250/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST) which includes cost of prospectus and application form in the form of bank draft favouring “Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training” in person or by Registered post/ courier superscribing “Lateral Entry-2014” on the envelope. The completed application forms alongwith the requisite fee can also be submitted in the affiliated polytechnic colleges before the closing date.

Candidates must bring the following certificates at the time of admission (reporting to the institute) :
1. Original Certificates:
** Qualifying Examination Detail Marks Sheet
** Matriculation Certificates (Date of Birth)
** Character Certificate from institutions last attended
** Proof of Residence/Domicile Certificate
** Certificate in support of claim under reserved category.
Candidates who fail to produce the requisite documents will not be admitted.
2. Attested copies of above certificates.
3. One recent stamp size photograph.
