Applications are invited for admission to PG Diploma/Diploma courses at College of Agriculture, K.A.U, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram and at Regional Agricultural Research Station, K.A.U, Pattambi, Palakkad (Dist.) for the year 2014. 1 Name of the Course : PG Diploma in Solid Waste Management
Number of seats : 10.
Duration of the course : Two semesters, (One year)
Eligibility : B.Sc./M.Sc. Degree in Science subject /B.Sc. (Ag)/B.Tech in Engineering
Reservation : As per rules
Mode of selection : The candidates will be selected based on the percentage of marks in B.Sc/M.Sc. in Science subjects / B. Sc. (Ag)/B.Tech in Engineering
Medium of instruction : English
Application fee : Rs. 750/- for General candidates Rs. 375/- for SC / ST candidates
2 Name of the Course : Post Graduate Diploma Course in Analytical Techniques in Soil Fertility and Crop Production

Eligibility : Graduation in any discipline with science subject for HSE

Mode of selection : Based on marks in qualifying examination

3 Name of the Course : Diploma Course in ‘Organic Agriculture’

Duration of the course : Two semesters, (One year)
Eligibility : Pass in Plus Two with Science subjects or equivalent qualification.
Reservation : As per rules
Mode of selection : Based on marks in qualifying exam.
Medium of instruction : English
Application fee : Rs. 300/- for General candidates Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates
4 Name of the Course : Diploma in Agricultural Sciences
Number of seats : 50.
Duration of the course : Four semesters, (Two years)
Eligibility : Pass in Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or equivalent qualification.
Reservation : 20 % of the seats will be reserved for VHSE. (Agri) candidates. In the absence of VHSE (Agri) candidates the seats will be converted to General merit. (2 seats reserved to Lakshadweep candidates over and above 50 seats)
Mode of selection :
i) The candidates will be selected based on the percentage of marks in the Plus two course
ii) For VHSE reserved seats selection will be done based on the marks in the VHSE (Agri) course
