ADMISSION INTO DIPLOMA COURSES – 2014
Central Institute of Tool Design is a Premier Institute in Asia to provide specialized training in Tool Engineering, CAD/CAM & Mechatronics. The objective of the Institute is to meet the requirements of the Industries in the field of Tool Design & Manufacture, CAD/CAM & Mechatronics and to train the technical personnel in these fields. The Institute was established in the year 1968 by the Govt. of India with the assistance of UNDP and ILO. Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission into the following Long Term Diploma Courses commencing from August 2014.

1 Name of the Course : DIPLOMA IN TOOL, DIE & MOULD MAKING (DTDM)
Duration : 4 years (8 semesters )
Intake : 120 Seats (Provisional)
Eligibility : SSC/Matric with anaggregate of minimum 50% marks for general category candidates and an aggregate of minimum 45% marks for SC/ST category candidates.

2 Name of the Course : DIPLOMA IN PRODUCTION ENGINEERING (DPE)
Duration : 3 years (6 semesters)
Intake : 120 Seats (Provisional)
Eligibility : SSC/Matric Pass

3 Name of the Course : DIPLOMA IN ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING (DECE)
Duration : 3 years (6 semesters)
Intake : 60 Seats
Eligibility : SSC/Matric Pass

4 Name of the Course : DIPLOMA IN AUTOMATION & ROBOTICS ENGINEERING (DARE)
Duration : 3 years(6 semesters)
Intake : 60 Seats
Eligibility : SSC/Matric Pass

Age Limit: 19 years ( not born before (01.04.1995)
Course Fee : Rs.17,000/- per semester.( Rs.34,000/- per year )

Cost of Application : Rs.600/- for general and Rs 300/- for SC/ST category candidates and for PWD candidates fully exempted. However SC/ST/PWD category candidates need to enclose proof of their category duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.

Mode Of Selection: Candidates under all categories will be selected based on the rank obtained in the CITD Entrance examination.

How To Apply:
: A) Application form and prospectus can be obtained from Training Department, MSME Tool Room /Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad – 500 037, on anyworking day between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.(Weekly holiday on Sunday) by paying application cost prescribed in the form of Bank Challan of SBH, Balanagar or a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad, on any Nationalized Bank, preferably on State Bank of Hyderabad, Balanagar Branch, Hyderabad – 37.

B) Application form can also be downloaded from our website and the filled in application forms can be sent to the
