Get Account Balance Status On Mobile Via Mobile Banking:
Bank of Maharashtra provides your account information on your Mobile phone through its new technology product ‘Maha-Mobile’ . In our endeavor to providing latest technology products and more convenient banking facilities, the ‘Maha-Mobile’ is one more technology driven delivery channel for you to facilitate “Mobile Banking”. Using the ‘Maha-Mobile’, you can do your banking transactions like enquiries, transfer of funds, utility payments etc. using your mobile phone.

It is a mobile banking application that works on a safe and secured menu based interface provided through J2ME technology. The customer can carry out enquiry functions, transfer of funds and e-commerce transactions by using mobile application installed on customers’ mobile instrument.

What are the facilities offered under Maha-Mobile?:
** Balance Enquiry
** Mini Statement – Last 3 Transactions
** Cheque Status Enquiry
** Add Beneficiary
** Modify & Delete Beneficiary
** Funds Transfer – Within Customer’s own Accounts
** Funds Transfer – To any other Account within BOM
** Interbank Funds Transfer
** Request for Issuance of Cheque Book
** Request for Physical Statement of Account
** View of Mobile Banking Transaction Log
** Synchronization of Accounts and Beneficiaries
** Change MPIN
** Change Application Password
** Upgrade Application
** Deactivate Application

Funds transfer limit:
Customer can make transfer of funds up to Rs.50000/- in a day through the using ‘Maha-Mobile’ facility. The per day funds transfer limit can be set as per customers wish to any amount up to Rs. 50000/-

Who can avail the facility?:
** All types of savings bank account holders in the individual capacity or joint account holders operated on ‘either or survivor’ basis.
** All sole proprietorship firm Current Account and Cash Credit Account holders.

What are the pre-requisites for using the facility?:
The customer should have the following to use the mobile banking application:
** A Java-enabled mobile phone with memory
** GPRS connectivity in the mobile phone

The application works on a safe, secured, menu based and user friendly J2ME technology which is compatible with all Java and GPRS enabled mobile phones. The application is carrier-independent i.e. customers can avail of the mobile banking service with the Bank irrespective of the service provider for their mobiles and the make of mobile equipment, subject to availability of GPRS facility & ability of the Mobile Instrument to run Java based applications. The cost of GPRS connectivity will be borne by the customers.

What are the charges:
Bank is offering Mobile Banking services Free of Cost. There are no charges for Mobile Banking services whereas in case of delivery of Cheque Book or Statement of Account at Customer’s address Bank will charge Rs. 50/- towards courier/postal charges.

How to Register for Mobile Banking facility:
Step#1: Application for Mobile Banking Service
Visit your branch and submit filled in Mobile Banking Application form. On successful processing of the application at the branch and Internet Banking Cell, you will receive a 4 digit MPIN for Mobile Banking by post or courier.

Step # 2: Installation of Mobile Banking Application on your Mobile Phone
Option 1: Send an SMS BOMMOBILE to 9223181818
If your Mobile Number is registered with Bank of Maharashtra for Mobile Banking Services, you will receive an SMS containing link, which can be used to download the Mobile Banking Application on your Mobile Phone.

Option 2: Download the Mobile Banking Application from Website
Visit website Go to Other Technology Products è Mobile Banking section and click on “Download Mobile Banking Application” link. Download the application on your PC and then move the application to your Mobile Phone using USB Data Cable or Bluetooth.

Step # 3: Registration Process for Maha-Mobile
** Open Maha-Mobile Application downloaded on your mobile
** Enter your Mobile Number Registered with the Bank and Mpin supplied to you by the bank by post/ courier and select “Register”
** Abstract of Maha-Mobile Terms and Conditions will be displayed on your Mobile Screen. Select “Agree”
** In the next screen you have to set your 6 digit Mobile Banking Application Password (Numeric). Enter Application password twice, once in the Enter Application password box and then in Confirm Application Password box and select “Save”
** Now Application will ask you for Network Access, Allow the application to access network through GPRS. Wait for registration process to complete; this may take some time around 1-2 minutes.
** After successful registration, please change your MPIN supplied by Bank of Maharashtra.
** Please remember your MPIN and the Application Password you have set.
** Please note that your MPIN can be regenerated and reissued to you, but if you forget your application password then you need to download the fresh application and do the registration process once again.
** After successful registration, you may start using Mobile Banking Services.
