All India Inter university Boxing Championship 2014-15
After the great success of many AIU sports events at LPU, it is a proud privilege for us that Association of Indian Universities has once again selected Lovely Professional University for organizing the All India Inter university Boxing (Men & Women) Championship 2014-15 as per the conditions laid down by Association of Indian Universities.
We are pleased to invite you and your team(s) to participate in the All India Inter university Boxing (Men & Women) Championship 2014-15. This tournament will take place in the Campus of Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab from 19th February to 4th March 2015. In this prestigious event, 70+ teams and 500+ Participants in Women category and 100+ teams and 750+ Participants in Men category will participate.
The participating Universities may depute their representatives at the time of draw. You are requested to send your entries by speed post. The entries/ detail entries may also be mailed at email@example.com. The list of teams is attached.

All the participating universities are requested to bring 2 passport size photographs of the officials and participants for registration purpose.
All India Inter University Boxing Men and Women Championship will be conducted at Lovely Professional University on dates 19th to 23rd February 2015 for Women’ Section and from 25th February to 4th March 2015 for Men’ Section.
Last date for sending entry is 25th January 2015.
Last date for sending detailed entries is 5th February 2015 for both Men and Women.
Managers Meet: Team Managers Meet will be held on 18th February, 2015 for women and on 24th February 2015 for Men in Sh. Baldev Raj Mittal Auditorium, Block 2A.
Managers are required to submit four copies of the Eligibility Performa duly typed and signed by the competent authorities of the university at their arrival as per AIU rules.
Incomplete eligibility Performa will not be entertained. No overwriting is permitted on the Performa unless attested by the competent authorities.
All the participants are requested to bring their Academic Certificates to certify their eligibility as per AIU rules.
Boxer must bring their Identity cards of the current session duly signed by the competent authorities of the university with office stamp.
Physical fitness certificate of the all boxer and Declaration of Non-Pregnancy for Women Boxers from a registered Medical Doctor will also be submitted by the team manager.
Managers are required to bring with them their University Flags as the march past is compulsory for all the participating teams.
Teams are requested to bring their own locks for the safety of their belongings.
Team Manager of participating university will be fully responsible for their players to maintain discipline at venue and during the championship.
Officiating charges @ Rs.1000/- per team for men and women separately will be collected from each participating university at the time of manager’s meeting along with eligibility Performa.
A Security of Rs.1000/- shall have to be deposited by each participating university at the time of managers meeting against the material issued to them which shall be refunded on return of the material in good condition to the person concerned at the time of relieving.
Detailed program and instructions for the Competition shall be provided to the managers on 18th February, 2015 for women and on 24th February 2015 for Men.
Organizing Committee reserve the rights to make changes in programs if any as and when required. The decision of committee will be final and binding.
Contingent In charges are requested to fulfill registration formalities as scheduled on 18th February, 2015 for women and on 24th February 2015 for Men in LPU Campus. ID Cards will be made for participants & official and provided at the time of registration.
Accommodation will be provided to the participants and officials. Weather during the month of February is cool with very chill in the evening and morning hours. The temperature varies between 5º C – 20º C. Days are bright with sunny. Participants are requested to bring warm bedding, clothing, bed spreads etc.
Team managers will be housed in students’ hostel rooms. Suitable accommodation in the guesthouses will be catered for the Judges/referees, invited Guests and AIU Officials.
Allotted accommodation on confirmation will be available from 0800 hrs on 18th February 2015 until 1200 hrs on 24th February 2015 for women & from 0800 hrs on 24th February 2015 until 1200 hrs on 5th March 2015 for men.
The competition will be conducted in 10 weight categories with 3 rounds of 3 minutes each for men section. In women section the Competition will be conducted in 10 weight categories with 4 rounds of 2 minutes each.

For medical assistance, we have 24 hours Hospital within the campus (Block 8C).
First Aid Services will be provided by the host university at the venue. In case of major injury the expenditure of medical expenses will be borne by the concern university Team Manager.
All expenses on local transportation shall be borne by the participating university
The Lovely Professional University is located on NH-1 and is easily accessible by train at stations Phagwara (7 Kms), Jalandhar Cantt (7 Kms) & Jalandhar City (15 Kms) and by buses plying between Ludhiana & Jalandhar. There is ample local transport available.
