Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd, a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, (Govt. of India Undertaking) engaged in Coal Mining activities in Odisha state invites applications from the Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacancy as mentioned against the following post

Name of the post : Electrician Cat.III (T)
Basic Pay (NCWA IX): 636.77/- per day
Total Post : 147

Minimum Qualification :
i) Matric
ii) ITI with 02 years Course plus one year training (as per II No.32 of NCWA-VI)
iii) LT permit under Indian Electricity Rule for mines or 440-550 Volts Mining Parts Permit issued by Competent Authority applicable for coal mines.
Desired: “Candidates having HT permit for cable joining and overhead lines issued by the competent authority applicable to Coal mines and/ or Electrical Supervisory Certificate valid for mines will be given preference.”

Age Limit: Candidates must not be below 18 years and above 30 years of age as on 03/03/2014 i.e. the last date of submission/ receipt of application (online- offline) in MCL office .

Selection Process :
1. The Selection methodology will comprise of written test and interview. The candidates short listed in the written test shall only be eligible to appear for interview.
2. Written Test: – Eligible candidates will be required to appear in written test at any one of test centers. Exact schedule of written test will be displayed on MCL website in due course.
3. Interview: – Candidates short listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for interview and the intimation will be given to the candidates through registered post and e-mail.

How To Apply :
Before applying, the candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility for the post for which they intend to apply. There are two modes of submission of the application, i.e. On-Line or Off-Line. Eligible Candidates can apply in any one of the mode. However candidates are encouraged to apply in On-Line mode only.
I. On-Line :
1. Pre-requisites for submitting applications online
a) Valid E-mail ID. The E-mail ID entered in the online application form should remain active until the recruitment process is complete. No change in the e-mail ID will be allowed once entered.
b) While applying On-line, candidate should keep the scanned copy of their passport size colour photograph (.jpg or jpeg file only, each less than 20 KB size) for uploading with application.
c) A facility to take Printout of the Application form after submission of application
2. The candidate can access the online application form at our website and click on the Recruitment button. The Online registration site/portal would remain open from 10/02/2014 to 03/03/2014.
3 .After applying online, candidate is required to take a printout of the Application Form, sign at the space provided, paste recent passport size color photograph, attach self-attested photocopies of all documents and then send the same to the address mentioned at ‘C’ against General Conditions on or before 10/03/2014.

II. Off-Line :
Candidates, who opt for offline application may apply in the prescribed application format available at MCL website and click on the Recruitment button. fill the mandatory information, sign at the space provided, paste recent passport size color photograph, attach self-attested photocopies of all documents and then send the same to the address mentioned at ‘C’ against General Conditions on or before 03/03/2014.
