Important Announcements :
** Candidates selected for DV will be issued letters asking them to appear at the office of WBSSC on a specified date with documents
** List of documents to be brought during DV to prove eligibility as per recruitment rules
** If any candidate fails to appear for DV at the appointed time or fails to produce documents to prove eligibility his/her selection will be cancelled and candidates who have not been selected for DV will be called on basis of their rank and category against such vacancy

I have also been nominated to ANIMAL RESOURCE DEPARTMENT. I did not get any letter from the department. The procedure of appointment are as follows:
1. Department will send a VR form. Candidates will have to submit the filled VR form to the Department.
2. Next Department will send letter for Police Verification.
3. After Police Verification, there will be medical test.
4.At last Appointment letter will be sent to the candidates.
Please mention if anyone find any mistake in my comment. The candidates who have been nominated to this department are requested to make any comment so that we may know each other.

Call letters or appointment letters will not be sent by the commission. Commission will send the letter of nomination to the respective candidates. You will get appointment/call letter by the respective government department

I had been selected in the first list(Gen category) and completed my DV successfully with all the relevant documents but, still waiting for recruitment. Can anybody help me by providing information on recruitment process for the candidates selected in the first list? With due respect I beg to state that I, Ganesh Chandra Das, (Gen-Ex-Serviceman) have been appeared in the WBSSC for LDC/LDA on 15.12.13. My Roll No. is 150210497. When the result is out I had tried to see my result through Internet. But the Website show Invalid Roll No./Date of birth. When I had reported the matter to your office at Mayukh Bhawan, Salt Lake, Kolkata on 18.07.14 my result of Part-I paper checked by Mrs K Neogi (Employee of WBSSC) intimated that my result of Part-I is 35.5%. As per her advice I had submitted a petition for examination of my Part-II Paper result (Group-A & B). It has also informed me that a second list of Ex-Servicemen candidates will be declared shortly. I have sent an another application dated 23.07.14 and sent the same through speed post but no reply has been received by me till date. I am eagerly waiting for result of Part-II paper and second list for Ex-Servicemen candidate. Please do needful at the earliest.

In 15 July jibika desari paper it is clearly stated that there will be no 2nd list of wbssc LDC. So friends that is the final say. This is really failure of westbengal govt at as they can’t fulfill the reaming vacancy. Of course we can do any thing about this as they are playing with our lives. If any one have something to say please reply. Our all hopes fallen like pack of cards.

There will be 2nd list. Who told you that? According to merit list they will publish 2nd list. Many ppl will not join here and many has been cancelled due to dv cancellation like computer certificate esspecially speed certificate. What will happen to this vacant seats? Ohh I am sorry..it was 9th June Sorry guys. there will be many steps like police vc and medical.. and they will send me the joining letter also. I am provisionally selected candidate..not the final.it doesn’t mean d guarantee of engagement. In fact I did not sign any joining letter.. There is not such bondage. You have a bright chance as more than 200 candidates were absent in your category and if you estimate in each cut of marks consists of 100 to 120 candidates. Last cut off was 115.75
There will be like this:
115.75=30 to 50 candidates
115=50 to 80 candidates
114.75 to 114= 100 to 120 candidates
So after 200 candidates you will have the chance as many SC and obc didn’t join as general candidates. so 88sc+100obc+200general=388 to 400 =probable existing vacancy for general candidates
According to newspaper reports the term of the ex-chairman of WBSSC has expired and the post is vacant as of now. The organization is without a leader at present and nobody knows when a new Chairman will be appointed.
The no. of applicants for the upcoming SI (Food) examination is more than 10 lakhs and WBBSC is struggling to make arrangements for the same. So expect huge delays in appointment of LDC’s and also the publication of the 2nd Merit list (if at all it is published.)

How many days will it take to finish the 1st council. News are coming that those who have not taken they are being called in telephone. How much this information are true. Really we are worried about it. Have any one got the information about 2nd merit list? It is becoming too late.
What is the process of Medical Test and Police verification for LDC job ? Can anybody know about this?
Since there is a huge shortage of LDC in some Govt. departments they want to complete the recruitment process (allot departments) to the people in the first merit list who have cleared DV successfully. This process will take 1-1.5 months. After that they will take out the 2nd Merit list, so you can expect around 2 months time. They also said this is the plan as of now and things might change if the Govt. instructs differently.
Who gave you such absurd news or you are making it up on your own?
Please do not spread rumors. Even in pvt. sector if you miss an interview date the company does not go around calling people to appear for the interview on a different date. In India there is no shortage of candidates, if you miss another candidate is always there to take your place. For a govt. organization like WBSSC what you are saying is all the more unbelievable.

Second you appeared in dv that’s you take this job.
wbssc said those people who were absent or who were unable to produce document or that seat will remain unfilled.

How can they say like this?
Why they need so much time? when lots of candidate are waiting for 2nd list. Then why they need 2 months. First dv ends on 13 th June.
Many candidates joined in wbpsc kps,in courts, in railway,in banks, in wbssc, in central SSC, and in other posts. Some of candidates faced problem for not having c.type certificate. So 200 to 250 general candidate left out the vacancies. Above all 88 SC and more than 100 obc candidate will not join as a general candidate who are selected in both the list I.e in general as well as in reserved posts. So if you roughly calculate there will be about 400 seats for general candidate after 1st counseling?
Many people are waiting for the 2nd merit list to come out. But still it has not been announced. Can any one say when WBSSC will be going to publish the WL. One information was being heard that those people who were absent during D.V in first list are given few days more to show their documents. That is for them the date has been extended. But the matter is that no body knows how much the information are true. Did any one heard about it? By the way what is the possibility of general candidate to get the job in place of unfilled vacancy. How much less no. than the first list is expected to be called for the WL? When you are not selected by 0.5 or 1 number then you are very close to selection. Because you may notice at the end of merit list more than 20 people get same number. So you guys don’t worry. You will be selected and 2nd list will come after pooja..

As per counseling update what I got from sc friends who were in counseling they are giving update that there will be min 100 vacancy left in sc category. Almost 200 seats in general category.
So I request someone who were in document verification process please share your experience as how many candidates were absence that day so the waiting candidates can roughly estimate as how much vacancy left.

As soon as 1st counseling is over wbssc will publish 2nd merit list for wl candidate.
THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN GENERAL CASTE DIDN’T GET CHANCE IN GENERAL LIST JUST SORT BY 3,4 MARKS THEY HAVE 90% CHANCE THAT THEY WILL GOT JOB IN 2ND MERIT LIST.
AS OUT OF 1100 GEN CANDIDATE 88 ARE FROM SC ALMOST 100 ARE FROM OBC ST AND REST CATEGORY.
IT IS VERY RARE THAT SOMEONE FROM RESERVE QUOTA WILL CHOOSE JOB FROM UNRESERVED QUOTA.
AS A SC CANDIDATE RANK 4 IN SC LIST HE IS RANK 23 IN GEN.
SO HE WILL GET MORE OPTION IN CHOOSING HIS POSTING AREA DEPT BEING FROM RESERVE CATEGORY.
THAT MEANS AT LEAST 150 SEAT WILL REMAIN UNFILLED , BPLUS ADD 50 WHO EITHER DIDN’T PRESENT OR DIDN’T TAKE JOB AS THEY GOT JOB ALREADY IN HIGHER POST.
SO IF MIN 200 SEATS REMAIN UNFILLED IN GEN CATEGORY IT IS EXCEPTED THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SORT BY 5 TO 10 MARKS THEY WILL GET CALL FOR SURE 90% CHANCE.

Everybody is facing same problem. Maximum people don’t have typing certificate. Typing is not judged by certificate. It is test. So why they need I don’t know..

I have called the commission about this and they replied that if any person does not receive call letter they should appear before the commission on the scheduled date and time with the original docs and two photocopies attested by group A officer and two recent colored self attested photo.

you are selected for DV that means you got this job.
Only thing is you have produce original docs.
And during counseling you have the right to choose the job dept and job posting as per vacancy available. Same like west bengal join entrance exam counseling in engineering or medical.
If someone don’t come or accept job next candidate will get called for dv.

As per West Bengal Staff Selection Rule for LDC/LDA they have mentioned “acquisition of elementary knowledge in Computer operation with the ability of Typing on Computer at the speed of 35 words per minutes in English and 25 words per minute in Bengali from a reputed organization for a period not less than 6 (six) months”. I have quarried about computer typing in leading and famous computer training institutes and found that there is no such course, so they cannot issue such certificate. But they can write about speed in their letterhead. Does commission will accept it ? I think everyone facing the same problem.
I am also going through the same problem. I have tried to call the commission but no one answering the call, helpline number is busy. So I have informed my situation through email but still did not receive any reply.
I have called for document verification,in wbssc. I have six months computer certificate from recognize board but no have computer typing certificate. And recently I have admit for computer type course.

I called wbssc student helpline no..from 10am ,but till 4pm I was getting number as busy. It is not because other student calling. it is because they manually did it so that the staff didn’t need to take call.
Only option left is I need to visit wbssc office to get the answer
Is it mandatory to show computer education certificate and typing test certificate to get this job?as in advt it is not said such things.
Only mentioned that if someone passed the typing test he/she will get increment in salary just.
But it is given in important announcement as Computer Typing certificate is a must from any reputed organization.

As per gen list you have fair chance of selection. As the last rank candidate in gen list have 115.75 so you will surely get job in waiting list. There is a bright chance for getting job. But you will not get favorite place posting.
I have attained 100.5 marks. It is said that no of vacancies have increased. Is there a chance to be called up or not? Please tell me.
The no of vacancies increased in such category in which the result will be declared on 20th may.
If you are from sc category then there is high chance you will get job as last mark in sc list 101. So wait
What is state and district cadre vacancy? How will the posting be done?as dist and state cadre vacancies are different.
The exam should be on the basis of Part-I 100 + Part-II 50 Marks. I got selected for Group B for Part II paper. Then, why is the merit list made on the basis of 200 marks?

If any candidate fails to appear for DV at the appointed time or fails to produce documents to prove eligibility his/her selection will be cancelled and candidates who have not been selected for DV will be called on basis of their rank and category against such vacancy

I have answered all the questions of English & Bengali in spite of that I secured only 22 in English & 27 in Bengali total marks 114.25 . I can’t believe this. What is the actual cutoff for document verification for the general candidates? A clear cut politics has been going on in recruiting like primary recruitment. Those who suffered should protest unitedly and demand for the final exam copy. If S.S.C is transparent they will show it, otherwise they deny.

What is the total cut of marks to qualify document verification for general candidates?
I’m also facing the same problem.. Still can’t believe that I got only 14. Questions weren’t of that much level as we would get those sort of marks. Timing of this result also makes me sense of politics regarding this.
This is the same problem I am facing. I scored 114 and 1.75 marks to DV. I think there is a political sense. If you think of court case please contact me.
There is pure politics going on. As there is no scheme to view my answer sheet of part 2. When a people is getting 45 out of 50 in English in competitive exam then how can I get just 11 out of 50 in English when I attempted all. I accept I might did not well in English. But how much worse?
How to complain in this matter?
I could not complete the Part II (Bengali) paper. I could not complete the last 2 sentences of the translation part, yet I have scored almost 70% in Bengali.
Whereas for the Part I (English) paper, I had completed all the questions to the best of my ability and I have got less than 50%. This is the lowest I have scored in English in my entire academic career.
I think my English was too good for the person who corrected my English paper, it went above his/her head.
People who have got 40-45 in English must be possessing hidden qualities to become literary greats like Sir William Shakespeare etc. in the future.
I would like to know that the selected candidates for document verification. Is that the final round? There wont be any interview? These selected candidates are absorbed by wbssc after verification. Please let me know.
