Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2013 for recruitment of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerks – Declaration of final result
1 The Staff Selection Commission conducted Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2013 for recruitment of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerks on 20.10.2013, 27.10.2013 & 10.11.2013 and also re-examination on 13.01.2014. The result of written examination was declared on 14.03.2014 and 16.4.2014

2. The details of the candidates declared qualified/appeared in the skill test are as under
Data Entry Operator (Post preferences D):
1. Total Candidates qualified for DEST 9964
2. No. of candidates who appeared in DEST 7396
3. Candidates qualified in Skill test as per criterion fixed by the Commission (upto 5 % mistakes for all categories) 4670

Lower Division Clerk (Post preference L):
1. Total Candidates qualified for Typing Test 14,379
2. No. of candidates who appeared in Typing Test 9,887
3. Candidates qualified in Skill test as per criterion fixed by the Commission (upto 5% mistakes for UR/OBC/SC/OH/VH candidates and upto 7% mistakes for ST/ HH/ Ex.S candidates) 4,652

3. While allocating posts of DEO/ LDC and Departments under the DEO/LDC posts to the qualified candidates, merit-cum-order of preference criteria has been adopted. Wherever detailed Departments preference for DEO and LDC were available but the post option (i.e. L, D, E or O) was blank, such candidates were first considered for the post of DEO and then for the post of LDC. Candidates who have not exercised preference for any Department have not been considered for the concerned Department.

RESOLUTION OF TIE CASES (Ties cases will be resolved by applying one after another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved).
(i) Total marks in the written examination.
(ii) Date of Birth, with older candidate placed higher.
(iii) Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.

6. Total 67 candidates (DEO-30, LDC-37) whose candidature has been kept as provisional by concerned Regional Offices are also included in the Select list. Concerned RDs/DDs will check the eligibility of such candidate thoroughly before nomination. Result of 1 candidate – Sandeep Kumar (Roll No. 2201379783) who has been selected for the post of LDC is withheld in view of Hon’ble CAT (PB), New Delhi order dated 28.04.2014 in O.A. No. 1429/2014.

7. The above said List are provisional and subject to the recommended candidates fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the respective post in the Notice of Examination and also subject to thorough verification of their identity with reference to their photographs, signatures, handwritings, etc., on the application forms, admission certificates, etc. The candidature of the candidates is liable to be cancelled by respective Regional Directors in case candidates found not fulfilling the eligibility conditions or any other genuine reasons. Further if any candidate is found to have indulged in fraud, copying or any other malpractice, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled in addition to his debarment from appearing in the future examinations conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

8. For candidates belonging to reserved categories for whom certain percentage of vacancies are reserved as per Government Policy, the category status is indicated against their Roll Numbers. It is important to note that some of these candidates have been declared qualified only for the category mentioned against their Roll Numbers. If any candidate does not actually belong to the category mentioned against his/her name, he/she may not be eligible to be included in the list. It is, therefore, in the interest of the candidates concerned to immediately contact the respective Regional Office of the Commission in all such cases where they do not belong to the category shown against their Roll Numbers.

9. Detailed result of this examination is available on SSC’s Website ssc.nic.in. Marks of qualified and non-qualified candidates with details of their options, preferences, mistakes in skill test etc. will be placed on the website shortly.
