Apply for Diplomatic/Official Passport :
e-Form Submission :
Step 1 : Download the e-Form through the “Download e-Form” link on the Home Page.
Step 2 : Fill the downloaded e-Form and click the Validate & Save button.This will generate an XML file which will be required later for uploading in the system.
Step 3 : Register through the Passport Seva Portal. (Click on “Register” link under the Apply section on the Home Page).
Step 4 : Login to the Passport Seva Portal with the registered Login Id.
Step 5 : Upload the XML file (generated in Step 2) through the “Upload e-Form” link.Do not upload the PDF form at this stage as only XML file is accepted by the system.
Step 6 : Take the printout of filled application form through the “View/Print Submitted Form” link on View Saved/Submitted Applications page.
Step 7 : Bring printed application form and original documents while visiting the Passport Office (PO) attached to your present residential address for submitting your application. Refer the instruction page of printed application form for more details.

Step 2 : Login to the Passport Seva Portal with the Login Id created in Step 1.
Step 3 : Click “Apply for Diplomatic/ Official Passport ” link.
Step 4 : Fill in the required details in the form and submit.
Step 5 : Take the printout of filled application form through the “View/Print Submitted Form” link on View Saved/Submitted Applications page.
Step 6 : Bring printed application form and original documents while visiting the Passport Office (PO) attached to your present residential address for submitting your application. Refer the instruction page of printed application form for more details.

Note :
Diplomatic and Official passports are issued to people holding diplomatic status or deputed by the Government of India for official duty abroad.

Steps to apply in Person:

** Diplomatic and Official passports are issued to people holding diplomatic status or deputed by the Government of India for official duty abroad.
** Normally applications for Diplomatic and Official passports are entertained only at the Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) Division, Patiala House, New Delhi. However, you can also choose to apply at the Passport Office attached to your present residential address, if you reside outside the National Capital Region.
** Diplomatic/Official application form can be obtained from Consular Passport and Visa (CPV) Division, Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi or at the Passport Office.
** To download the application form for Diplomatic/Official passport for applicants submitting Diplomatic/Official passport application forms at RPO offices.
** To download the application form for Diplomatic/Official passport for applicants submitting Diplomatic/Official passport application forms at CPV HQO till further order.

  1. Can I fill the Police clearance certificate?

    1. Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) will be issued only after completion of police verification process. After PVR is received, Passport Office (PO) will inform the applicant through e-mail/ letter. Applicant needs to come to the Passport Office (PO) with his/her passport to collect Police Clearance Certificate (PCC). Country for which Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is being issued will be stamped on the passport.
